I've used ELM over the years for landscape installation / maintenance and had good service until recently. As part of my annual irrigation maintenance, I found that there were several leaks in my system that ELM installed. I inquired about warranty work, but they stated the warranty was void if they didn't perform all of the startups and shutdowns. Unfortunately, they did not respond when I reached out for the startup/shutdown service, or for the most recent startup, stated they were too busy to take the service. I ended up working with another company to do the $1400 repair and they found that the irrigation valves were of low quality and not properly installed. In addition, an entire pipe had to be dug up and replaced since it had pre-existing holes that appeared to have existed when the pipe was first installed. For this particular incident I would normally give an F rating, but I'm balancing that with the past good service received.

"[Member Name Removed]- It was unfortunate that your irrigation repairs could not be covered by manufactures warranty. When we reached out to you twice in Oct 2018 you never responded to have your system winterized, therefore voided out the warranty. It wasn’t until May 2019 that you contacted us regarding a guarantee and repairs. We were scheduled out with customer projects and were not able to complete your repairs in a timely fashion. As for ‘low quality valves’ we provide the best quality based on the customers budget. The client is informed of their options and provided recommendations based on their individual specifications of the project. Your system was installed in September 2014 and we have provided the maintenance up to the spring of 2018 with minimal repairs/adjustments of sprinkler heads. This is the result of not having the system blown out and having extremely cold temperatures for the month of February that the Pacific Northwest has not dealt with in years. ELM takes pride in the quality of workmanship we provide our clients whether it is a one-time yard cleanup, irrigation install/repair, renovation or weekly maintenance. We do appreciate your business over the years and look forward to the opportunity in the future."

We just recommended them to someone the other day. They actually came in under their bid. They had to leave the larger pieces of wood until the next day, so they gave us $50 off for the inconvenience (which was fine with us)! They were very professional. They sent someone out who knew what he was talking about to give us a bid. They showed up when we wanted, did the work, cleaned up their mess properly and were out of there.

Forrest was quick to contact me initially when I was asking for service. The job done to clean up my yard went decently. Overall a good job (though a few areas they were a too aggressive in removing items. Our raspberry patch was completely removed instead of just the weeds). After this work I asked them to continue to provide weekly service to keep the yard looking good until I sold my house. Their price was more expensive then others I contacted, but since they did the job of cleaning up the yard I decided to use them anyways. Unfortunately, this weekly maintenance went horribly. They missed a week without even so much as a email or call. Multiple emails went unanswered until I finally got them on the phone. As for the actual "upkeep" that ended up meaning just mowing the grass and edging. I had to call Forrest and get him to come out and take care of the weeds. Also, at one point the mower ran over something and I found a bunch of plastic in the lawn. Forrest denied responsibility and refused to clean up the lawn from that. Overall, the yard cleaning went well, but the lack of communication after I asked them to maintain the lawn, as well as missing a week and sub-par maintenance, I can't recommend them to others.

Forrest is quick to reply to email or phone calls and is timely in coming out to give me estimates on services. He is also great at giving advice and never tries to push other services or upgrades on us. He does several lawns in my neighborhood and they all look amazing! Services are always completed when scheduled and the workers never leave a mess behind. We will be using Forrest even more in 2014!!

Forrest Lemme was very responsive to our contact, and he quickly came out to meet with us. For the landscape design, he worked with photographs of our yard and hillside with computer graphics so we could see how it could look. Then he provided pictures of the plants he proposed using in both summer and winter foliage. This was a great basis to make our decisions. He also provided options so we could make choices to meet our priorities and stay on budget.
The waterfall has been a perplexing problem, and Forrest has communicated carefully with us at each step so we understand how he's working to find the leaking area. He also lets me know what the work is costing, again to help us stay on budget.
The plants he's used are lovely. The trees are larger than I expected. Everything has been placed beautifully and they are all warrantied for a year. Forrest has been great giving me advice about caring for things already in the yard and teaching us how to best care for the new plantings.
It's been a good experience.

Forrest was prompt in replying to our request for an estimate. He came out and walked through our entire front, back, and side yards. He was able to give us quotes for portions so that we can choose which areas to do now and which to do later. He was very knowledgable on all plants and provided insight/suggestions when asked but also took into consideration our wants/needs. He has completed our front yard and it looks amazing! His staff were efficient and cleaned up the yard when they were finished. We can't wait to get the back yard done too!!

I have been using them for two or three years now. They do a good job. They are prompt, do exactly what you tell them to do, and they clean up after themselves.
