Storage
They delivered us a unit that had a hole in the roof that was patched with caulk and duct tape. During the three days that the unit sat by our house it rained.
When we opened our boxes, many were full of water. We managed to salvage most of our belongings.
At the companies request we held on to the damaged property and asked us to file an insurance claim. Because we managed to salvage most of the damaged items we only asked for $125.
The insurance claim, which was answered by the local owner and not by any insurance company, told us that they could not prove that the damage was not caused by the way we packed the unit and therefore they were not liable and they would not pay.
The letter was insulting. We sent pictures of the hole in the roof and pictures of the boxes that were FULL of water. Their response was my packing could have caused the damage. Really!?! -- like I would pack my blender in a box full of water.
I will never do business again with Go-Mini or the parent company United Van Lines.
