Floor Decorators Carpet One Floor & Home

My experience with Floor and Decor was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Initially, they promised a prompt appointment for a countertop measurement, but they scheduled us out several weeks, leaving us waiting unnecessarily. After enduring over a month of anticipation, they finally contacted us, only to inform us that our chosen countertop material was out of stock. This news was not only inconvenient but also poorly handled by their staff. They showed no willingness to work with us to find a suitable alternative or to expedite the process. To add insult to injury, they also contacted us regarding an alleged issue with our sink, which they later admitted was a mistake and that there was no actual issue. This additional confusion further delayed any progress on our project. Overall, the lack of communication, failure to deliver on promises, and the unnecessary delays made our interaction with Floor and Decor a complete letdown. I would caution anyone considering their services to be prepared for potential incompetence and unmet expectations.

They look great. From start to finish they were top notch and we would hire them again.

Missed the initial install date. Nobody even showed up. Said it was traced to an unresponsive installation contractor. Rescheduled and all went well following the initial miss. Install by a different team was great and floor looks awesome.

Jim Sehmel and Conrad Matlock are so worth every penny! The two men got into the details of the work with me, verified most everything before proceding, and gave me more ideas to make the finished product perfect. All communication was prompt and to the point.
The quality of the vinyl floor is amazing! It complements the higher end vanity and tub we bought, and the tile is gorgeous. Plus they were willing to work with accent tiling that we provided. The handscraped hardwood floors are elegant and appear expensive without actually being expensive.
I would gladly work with Floor Decorators/Carpet One again.

Floor Decorators Carpet One (on Auto Center Way in Bremerton, WA) has a misleading name: They do countertops and tile work, too, and maybe other things I don't know about. I worked with salesperson Teri Petty, and she was one of the most helpful salespeople I have ever met. I am in the middle of a high-stress renovation to get an estate house ready for sale, and Teri made the experience of dealing with Floor Decorators a breeze. I needed kitchen and bathroom countertops done quickly and had previously been given an estimate from a contractor used by one of the major building supply stores (H.D.): It was going to take those contractors 3-4 weeks to do the job, primarily because they didn't explain to me how the countertops were made and my options that would cut down costs and installation time. Because the Floor Decorators salespeople were so helpful when I previously called about vinyl flooring, I desperately called back Teri Petty to ask if Floor Decorators happened to do countertops, and she said that they did. Teri assured me that Floor Decorators could get the Formica pattern I wanted and install countertops much sooner than the other contractor, and they did. First the Floor Decorators estimator came out to the house to assess the job, and Teri phoned me with a final bid the next day. I hired them over the phone and paid half down on the countertop job (plus I paid for the vinyl flooring I ordered). When I received the job Proposal from Teri Petty in my email, I found that a labor charge had been added to move the fridge and stove, neither of which needed moving, and Teri took that charge off immediately. The Proposal also didn't specify which rooms were to be worked on and didn't list backsplashes, so I made sure that those areas were added to the Proposal before work began. Teri was very nice about addressing all my concerns and questions, and she fixed those items in the Proposal after making sure that the warehouse had the same work orders. I cannot stress enough how important it is to get everything in writing and to be sure that the work order has each job specified. The Formica came in a couple of days later, we set up an appointment to get the countertops done, the job was completed in a professional manner, and my vinyl came in when promised, too. Everyone I spoke with on the phone at Floor Decorators Carpet One was polite and helpful, and when I went into the showroom to pick up the vinyl flooring I had ordered, I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of everyone I met (from salespersons to warehouse workers) and the variety of samples Floor Decorators had on display. I would highly recommend Floor Decorators Capet One and salesperson Teri Petty.

I can say without reservation that Carpet One was fantastic! Their sales staff was wonderful to work with. They were extremely knowledgeable about products, prices and availability. They spent lots of quality time with us explaining the products, pros and cons of each, and the ordering/shipping/installation process from start to finish. They worked within our budget and time frame and were very willing to bend some in cost as we negotiated a final contract.

Directly preceding the installation process, I was further impressed with Carpet One. One of the sales representatives we worked with came to the property to follow-up on our purchase, making sure we had received the correct products in the correct quantity and to make final arrangements for installation.

Installation was absolutely the smoothest and most professional I have experienced. The installer was so thorough and good that I really could not believe I was dealing with a and quot;box store.and quot; He was meticulous in laying the flooring and lining up the planks to match all the way along the floors. Edges and corners were trimmed to fit nearly perfectly and moldings were fitted and attached snugly.

The crowing accomplishment came after installation was complete.

Our installer went through the house, room-by-room and polished the floors BY HAND. Outstanding!

We love our floors as much today as the day we purchased them and had them installed. I feel that part of the reason is because of the exceptional and professional manner in which Carpet One dealt with us and our needs.

great, but a few areas are not as smooth as i expected and noticeable when the sun shines in that area.

I was there for part of the time my decor carpeting was being put in by Carpet One. They were really nice and patient and the stairs were done so beautifully. I was charged a very fair price. I was really happy with them. For the square footage and the laying work they did, I was impressed. They even took the old stuff away and they recycled it. I was really impressed with them.

The finished product was beautiful. We were told it would take one week and it actually went over three because of delayed tile and incorrect tile orders. We were originally overcharged but after several discussions with the manager our price was adjusted to our satisfaction.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS TERRIFIC. THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT WAS HELPFUL AND THE QUALITY OF THE CARPET IS GREAT. WHEN WE HAVE GUESTS OVER THEY ALWAYS NOTICE OUR NEW BERBER AND LOVE THE NEW LOOK.
