Evergreen Mayflower

They left at around 5:00 with the semi, to ascertain the exact weight.  This turned out to be over 22,000 lbs.  This was not an issue for us, as we had requested a firm fixed price based upon the estimate.  There was a risk in this for us, as the weight of the items being moved could have been less than the estimate, at which point we would be stuck paying for 17k pound despite a lower weight.  As I could not afford any surprises as far as charges were concerned, I banked on the firm fixed price, and by the luck of the draw, it worked out in my favor.  As a  result of the 22,000 pound trailer weight, Evergreen needed to lease an extra four axle truck to pull the trailer over the mountain pass.  This took several days to arrange, which gave us time to clean out our rental home. We had roughly one week before Evergreen was able to move our belongings over the pass.  This was a small inconvenience, but under the circumstances, understandable.  When the delivery arrived, the crew was pleasant and worked hard to get the semi unloaded by 5:00 PM.  Given the complexities of the move, after due consideration I give Evergreen an A all around.

There were several changes and oops along the way but my assigned coordinator handled everything promptly and communicated back to me.

It was excellent.  The gentlemen were very professional that delivered the stuff out, they put down stuff to protect the wood, they put stuffs on the corners, all the walls where there were corners, so they didn’t damage the wall, it only goes to show that they know what they are doing.  From my experience if you want somebody let them do it because they know what they are doing and they treat your stuff like it’s their own.  The price was average.

They came initially and gave me an estimate. They showed up on time and did a really good job. They were clean and made sure to not mess up my carpets. There was a person in charge and he made sure that everyone was working.

It was quite expensive. I got prices from 3 different moving companies and it was expensive. Mayflower said if I got a lower price they would match it. I would caution people to try to get several quotes before they move, then if they have a certain company they want to use, have them match the price. They did a fine job and I can't complain about the work they did. We did the packing and they wrapped the furniture. I will use them again in the future.
