I had him build a deck in the front of my house then level the back of my house. So I figured and he said he could handle a bathroom remodel. I even saw some of his work. Which looked decent. He started to remodel my bathroom. He started when I was out of town which was okay with me. I figured he would be about half done and that is how far along he said he was. I came home to a bathroom that was such a mess the sheet rock he put up looked like he went to the junk yard and found mis-matched pieces and Nailed not Screwed them on the wall. Looked like a six year old tried to do it. My jucuzzi tub was in with water to the tub but no shower. the toilet was installed, thank god. The cabinets were in but no water to the sink. He didn't even take up any of the floor, there were three layers of old linolium left, that he just started throwing stuff in without prepping the room first. And to top it all off it took a week for him to show up after I got home. He never answered the phone when I called. I paid half the labor up front plus $200 for materials to start. When I fired him he wanted another $177., he spent on materials. He certainly didn't do half the work but I paid him anyway, just so he wouldn't make my life miserable. I had to rip out everything that he did and start over.
