Charles Camp Land Surveyor Bakken Survey

Our experience: The owner (Charles) told us what we wanted to hear enough to hire him over the phone. When it came time for him to arrive (between 9-10am), No one shored up. After we called multiple times we where told to wait… and that actually the owner wasn’t coming but someone else. AND that the employee that was supposed to be there wasn’t answering his phone. At 1-2pm…. when the employee eventually showed up, he took his time organizing his truck and tools for the first hour. When he finally started work, he spent the remaining day light hours off site?? (we never saw him). Day 2…. against my better judgment my husband allowed him back on property the second day. We just wanted the job to get done. As we where leaving the property our car tapped the surveyor box knocking it to the ground. You can guess that they were not slow in sending us and immediate note with threats of over $30K in repair bills if we didn’t hand over our insurance information. Of course we gave our info…though there was nothing wrong with the equipment. He then had the nerve to send us another bill for travel time and expenses so his employee could come back again a 3rd and possible 4th day to complete what was supposed to be a ONE-day job. In the end we are out over $2000 and don’t have our property lines mapped out. The owner of this company in this case acted in an illegal and unethical manner. Very disappointing and expensive for us.
