What did we not need...? They quickly and efficiently replaced everything in our crawlspace... insulation, missing screens, open external access, etc. And they installed a barrier beneath a bay window that had allowed animal access to the crawlspace ever since the home was built in the 80s. Very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them!

We were very happy with the entire process. Nick sealed the deal even before he forwarded us the written estimate. He was informative, extremely thorough with his inspection and gave us options to tailor the job to our needs. The installation crew (April, Jason, and Scott) did an outstanding job. It was evident that there is great communication within the company as April and the rest of the team knew what needed to be done from the start. April was excellent at informing us what each day's goals were and provided us with an update at the end of each day. Despite completing the job ahead of schedule the quality and thoroughness of the job was still too notch. Clean-up was fantastic.

The crew was fantastic. Very polite, considerate, and hard working. They worked with us to find the best route for the discharge pipe and were easy to work with. They even sent us a refund check when we overpaid- how honest!

Travis, and the helper were very prompt . He explained everything to me that they did, which was like a exact review of the given estimate. They were very clean , and , picked up everything. You will not feel like you have been ripped off by these guys.

We had 8 to 12+ inches of water regularly in our crawl space before A Better Crawl fixed the problem and that was with us using a pump regularly until they could get to our house. An assessment was done quickly after our phone call for help. The work was scheduled about 2 weeks out. As this winter (2015-16) has been a record setter for rain, the wait was not unreasonable. The work was done on time and as contracted, but the attention to detail and the communication were exceptional. All those who worked on our job, worked hard and were committed to quality. They also instructed us on the use and care of the pump and will provide service as long as the pump is under warrantee. Throughout the process, they reassured us that the problem wasn't that bad, and that it would be fixed. Everything is now working as it should. We wouldn't know they had been here, except now our crawl space is dry and as neat as can be.

Initially, the crew could not keep the first appointment. I was extremely disappointed because I was leaving for two weeks, and I expected it to be cold by the time I returned, perhaps too cold for leaving the house open for airing out after the procedure. But Clean Crawls called and asked for a second go at the project. I am so glad I went ahead with them. The clean out was as thorough as it could be given my 125 year old house's framing which has open channels from the ground to the second floor crawl space. What my house needs now is an exterminator to maintain the clean conditions the fellows created.

We had to call them back because there were still piles of mouse droppings, plus plastic coming back down again and we are still getting mice under there. They came back and did a little more cleaning (still not clean) and found where a rat had dug it's way out, put the plastic back up. My husband has since put the plastic back up permanently and keeps checking for mice which we still get sometimes. We hesitate to call anyone else to and quot;helpand quot;, it costs alot for very little. Clean crawls would not take our business, said it was too small a job and we should get a handy man.

The crew was on time and budget. They cleaned out all debris built up over 25 years, fluffed and refurbished all insulation, vacuumed up old wooden shingle bits and pieces in the attic left over from a roof replacement, and vacuumed up dirt and dust in the crawl space. They also straightened the plastic vapor barrier. They added real value to the house.

Melvin came out and gave an estimate then I scheduled immediately because I could tell he knew what he was doing and was professional. A tech came out and did the work. It was in a tough spot and hard to do. The critters managed to figure out a way back in but Melvin came out again without question and really quickly and made sure it was done to my satisfaction. No charge.

They were efficient, professional, and the job was completed on time. We’ve had other contractors here (for other projects) and several have commented on the high quality of the new vapor barrier. We like that the covering is white, so we can see if there’s any damage (rips, etc.) or new debris on it in the future.
Bid was competitive. They cleaned up fairly well after themselves. Nice to work with a small company.

We had our dryer vent cleaned (or so we thought) by another company about 2 months previous to our appointment with A Better Crawl. I am sure the first company we used did not clean the vent because our laundry room started filling with steam and it smelled like the dryer was burning. I found A Better Crawl on Angies List and they had excellent reviews. Melvin came to our home and cleaned what he could reach with his equipment but told me it would require a second visit to clean the vent within the attic. This would require an extra person and he was alone.
We arranged a second appointment and Melvin arrived right on time. He immediately apologized for not being able to complete the job on his first visit. He is professional, friendly and very courteous. This is a fantastic company with excellent follow-through. Everyone I have had contact with has been exceptional. You can tell this is a family owned business that prides itself on customer service with excellence.
I highly recommend A Better Crawl and will be using them in the future to keep our dryer venting properly...just as it does now after their cleaning and repairs.
