This guy was great. I had an estimate from another company with dire warnings about trees that were in danger of falling on my house and a hard sell with warnings that the price would expire soon. The Trees For Life gentleman was in stark contrast. He said that the trees appeared to be healthy and the services proposed by the other company could actually do more harm than good. He gave me a quote for some cleaning up of dead branches, but then said if they were his trees he wouldn't do it, as it wasn't necessary. Any company who talks the customer out of spending money gets an A plus from me. If I ever do need work done, I will absolutely use them.

A crew of three arrived to do the work. They were running about 20 minutes late. The entire job only took slightly more than two hours. Two of large trees (the big leaf maple and Douglas fir), required ladders and roped climbing. [It turned out all three were active  climbers.] They took two large 8-to-10-inch limbs off the big leaf maple, which was starting to overhang our house. They opened up the base of our large Douglas fir (which tends to drop limbs during high winds) and removed a limb that had detached earlier but had gotten snagged. The overall effect was that our back yard is now a bit more open, the fir and maple are no longer extending branches over the roof line or deck, and the smaller trees no longer look like they're growing out of control.
They did a good job cleaning up, no plants were damaged, and they were a friendly and professional bunch to boot. The price seems reasonable for the amount and quality of the work done. We've hired Trees for Life before, and we'll hire them again when our trees need attention.

He was an arborist and was very professional. I think his name was Scott Selby. The overall experience was excellent! I think the price is good because I haven't got anybody else but they came recommended and so I think they're probably good.

I am very pleased with the work.
First, Scott at Trees for Life walked around my yard and gave me an estimate on trimming a Leland Cypress hedge and cutting some branches from a large red maple. He diplomatically advised me not to cut out too much of the maple, keeping the tree's health in mind. He also gave bids on other work that could be done either by them or us. He noticed problems with my azaleas and rhodies and mentioned a systemic product that nurseries carry to help with it. He made some plant recommendations, when asked. He was down to earth, responsive and helpful.
Once I accepted his bid, the work was scheduled. Scott came out to make sure that the workers, Chris and Nate knew exactly which branches to cut off the maple and what we wanted with respect to the hedge. Chris and Nate did a great job on both projects including clean-up in the end. They left me a pile of wood chips for my yard as I requested and went the extra mile on a few other minor things as well.
I would recommend Trees for Life without question.

He is really honest about what you need and don't and explains things you might need in the future as well. He is a really good person and their work is really good. If there is a problem, they take care of it right away. He has a sense of integrity and ethics and is really kind.

This tree was in the yard of the house we had just bought, and it had been incorrectly pruned (in other words, hacked) for who knows how long. We wanted to save the tree because it is large and provides some nice shade, but weren't sure that this was even possible. We hired a tree inspector who does not do tree pruning (Robert Williams) in order to get an independent opinion about the tree. He wrote up a prescription for the tree, and recommended Trees for Life to do the work. A crew of four came over and did an amazing job. From being an eyesore, it turned into an asset and a thing of beauty in our yard. We are so happy that we were able to have such skilled people working on it. We expect we'll be asking them to come back periodically and continue taking care of the tree.

Very good service. Justin showed me what he found in the trench before proceeding and took time to explain what he found. His advice concerning our "sick" new tree was also easy to understand and very helpful. He arrived on time, the time needed for the job was well within the time he had estimated when the appointment was made, and he left the area clean and tidy. Very professional.

They came right away to do the estimate, they were punctual, they were timely with their work, they were quick and competent, and they took away their debris. One person was stung by a wasp during the process but everything else went smoothly.

We hired Trees for Life to prune and trim five scarlet oak trees on the parking strip median. They did the work as requested. They worked neatly and cleaned up after themselves. They hauled and shipped all chips and debris.

It was super! They are really fast and professionals at what they do. They had three guys that came and they were in and out of here in about three hours. They had the tree removed, cleaned, cut down, and the whole shebang. We had a power line running right by it and they still got it done without any difficulty. They were out of here by noon after getting started at 9 AM!! Very impressive!!
