With great care, precision and skill, Bob and Brandon executed an important design improvement to our home that now features a beautiful hardwood staircase complete with a craftsman style newel post and balustrade. Beyond the aesthetic updates, the structural improvements they made have ensured the staircase will last another 100 years or more. The work went really well. Like any other company, we were pushed back a month, but we weren t in a huge hurry. The guy they sent was great and he did a wonderful job and was here on time. They are expensive, but I think it is average for that kind of work. You might get someone for less but you may not get the same quality. I love the way they went about their work. They listened to me, as I was very much part of the design and they did everything that I wanted.

It was so refreshing to deal with Bob and Mark. The professionalism, the craftsmanship and the pride in their product was evident throughout. They came recommended to us by another company, who didn't want to attempt the work, but said there were only two companies who could do it correctly and One Step Ahead was one of them. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them unconditionally. I wish we had known about them before, we hired our previous contractor.
