Exterior Painting
He did not finish the job. We never heard from him again. I tried to call and email him but there was no response. I would not recommend him to anyone because he did not follow through with what he committed to do and did not respond to our calls and emails. It could be he had a good excuse but no one ever contacted us to let us know he could not complete the job.

Horvath came out and took a look at the job to be done. This was on June 30th. Said he would email the quote in about 3 days. After two weeks of not hearing from him we called and left a message with our email address in case he lost it. Two more weeks we called again. He said he had emailed the quote (never received). Suggested he mail the quote to make sure we received it. He never did. We then went elsewhere. The sad thing is he had painted our house 17 years ago and did a nice job. Have no idea what his problem is, but would not recommend him.

Interior Painting
We moved to Seattle from Virginia in September of 2011. After having the floors of our home redone we also decided to have the interior of our home repainted especially since the baseboards and stair risers were now badly chipped from the floor repair. We obtained 5 estimates ranging from $4,700 to $12,000. Horvath Painting was on the high side ($7,800) of the middle estimates but his estimate was much more detailed, outlining the scope of work and he also would not require any payment until the job was complete and we were satisfied. After some negotiation on the cost and explaining he was on the high side he did lower his cost by 10% to come more in line with the other reasonable estimates.
Peter Horvath and crew spend much time preparing the site, making sure my new floors were properly protected. I never saw or expected so much sanding and repairing of wood trim. The over all job of a 2 man (sometimes 3) crew took about 10 full days but the job was absolutely perfect! Peter Horvath is an "Old School" craftsman that takes much pride in his work and company. He will not be the cheapest, but he is by no means unreasonable in his pricing. He will speak his mind if you suggest cutting a corner that may save you a few dollars and end up giving you an inferior product or outcome. If you trust his judgement and expertise you will have a very pleasant experience that will increase the value of your home much more than the cost of the paint job.
Peter and crew were the type of people you could feel comfortable in your home without ever having an issue. You get more than what you paid for.

Peter Horvath is a complete professional. His bid was firm and comparable to "estimates" given by other painters. His crew was punctual, friendly, trustworthy, and energetic. The job was completerd as promised. The workmanship was amazing. Some large furniture needed to be moved and the crew accomplished that without a problem. We were notified in advance of the sequence of the rooms to be painted so we could rermove paintings and breakable items in advance. The crew worked long hours as needed to stay on schedule. Highly recommended

The service was wonderful. They were very professional and came by a month early to power wash the house. They did a good job of scraping the old paint off and the job turned out great. He prides himself of high quality work and the results show that.
