After some research I hired GroutFix to clean, seal, re-caulk & restore a master bath shower in my home in Sammamish, WA. The price was great and the scheduling was easy, but that’s where the “good” ends. Louie and one other individual showed up and spent roughly three hours at my home providing the service. The results were less than satisfactory and completely contrary with the Company’s own information related to Cleaning and Sealing. Whether you have Ceramic Tile, Travertine, Porcelain Tile, Slate Tile, Glass Tile, we can make them look new again, then apply a sealer that will protect your tile and grout for up to five years. ==================================================================================== The part of the above statement that is of particular interest is the “we can make them look new again”. My specific issue with the work performed was that many of the glass tiles in my shower SILL have some kind of film/buildup on them even after the restoration work was performed. When I pointed this out to Louie he stated that it was hard water stains. I said OK, but did you try to remove the hard water stains with an appropriate hard water stain remover based on your experience. The answer I got was “I didn’t say I would remove stains from your glass tiles”. Well, OK then…enough said. Based on my experience I would not hire Louie and his company to do any work in my home. Good luck to anyone that does!

Loui came by my house in a short notice and looked at the water issue in my shower that runs through the tile into the cement board (hardie-backer). He told me to try reseal and regrout first before having the shower wall redone (as per 3 other contractors suggestions). And thanks to his suggestion, problem was as simple as resealing the tile (house is ~50 years old) likely because the previous owner never maintained the house well.

Liviu did a great job cleaning, repairing and sealing the grout in our walk-in shower. He was very reasonably priced, prompt, and pleasant to work with. We will be using Liviu again for future jobs.
