Eurocon

Description of Work: Cristian Baraiac and his crew did many projects for us in 2008 and thereabouts. You calendar doesn't go back far enough to put an accurate date. His projects included a complete kitchen and bathroom remodel and other projects throughout the house including removal of popcorn ceiling in the kitchen, living room, and hallway. They did not replaced the drywall but scraped scraped and repaired it so beautifully that you cannot tell it was not the original ceiling or new construction. The kitchen was a full tearout. Another company installed hardwood floors after asbestos flooring was removed. Eurocon did not do this. New custom cabinets were installed, insulation, and drywall. Cristian B. also installed a support beam in the outside kitchen wall so we could replace one small window with a bank of three windows. He also installed all our new Weathershield windows in the kitchen, living room, downstairs den and the upstairs bedrooms. He did other miscellaneous jobs including removal of all of our ductwork and furnace because we were replacing the system with a new boiler and radiant heat throughout the house. Cristian did not do the plumbing; it was done by another contractor. The bathroom was also a complete tearout and remodel. The floor plan was rearranged, relocating the tub across the room. He installed all the fixtures, installed a heated floor and ceramic tiles, and installed a Weathershield window. His woodwork trim on all windows was beautifully installed. He went above and beyond to help us. We are seniors and the night before the floors were to be refinished, we had not moved anything out of the way--nothing! We called him in a panic at 10pm and he calmed us down saying he and his workers would come much earlier to pack and move our things out of the way. He and his crews were always punctual, clean and neat in their work and very respectful and considerate of us. He was flexible in discussions about materials since I always wanted the least toxic and environmentally friendly products. He was available for quick turnaround if we had a special need. He is very skilled and very honest about what he can and cannot do. He can do most things. Our plumber had installed the bathroom pipe that was sticking out of the wall too far; he said he could not alter it so the cap would fit snug agains the wall. Cristian quietly got his tool bag after the plumber left and fixed it to our satisfaction. He is very quick and is a hard worker with excellent ethics. It has been approximately six years since he did our work so it's not easy to estimate the cost. I remember it was incredibly reasonable compared to other bids. He also did some work on a rental property before our personal residence. We needed some wood installed for safety in an attic so the electrician could work. There was a large open area above a stairwell and the electrician was afraid of falling. Cristian came, looked it over, and built what was needed. He suggested and installed crown moulding and matching baseboards in all rooms of our house which looks very attractive. He painted and stained where appropriate. He also installed drywall to cover holes in the walls where the former vents and ductwork had been. Cristian is a very polite, kind man who takes pride in his work. Any concerns were considered and remedies were performed.

Description of Work: Eurocon added a two story room inside my garage that I will use as a pantry and utility/storage room. In the past, they have also converted a powder room into a full bath as well as converted an office into a loft for us. I also had Eurocon do some minor updates and painting for a property I purchased for my parents. He was very accommodating and polite. I will continue to use Cristian and I usually call him first whenever I am considering a project. He provides sounds advise and does great work. I have used other builders/contractors and they have never been so helpful. I found Eurocon through a group of friends who also highly recommended this company.

Description of Work: Eurocon, led by Cristian is a wonderful company to work with. Cristian is timely, responsive, responsible, and does the job as if it is for his own house. He takes great care with his work. His craftmanship is top notch. He has done many projects for us from running our remodel on site including overseeing the entire project from foundation work to finishing work (we added on a large bonus room and laundry room) to smaller projects as well. He has the skills to do every facet of the work that was needed to add on a room, and when he didn't, he subcontraced quality workers to do the work. He has had many years of experience in a wide variety of remodeling, construction and handy man tasks. His knowledge of projects is vast and he works very hard to bring about a quality and affordable product. He has also done smaller projects for us such as patching walls, matching texture, installing a sump pump, drainage in our yard and fixing spots on our roof. He is able to do it all. He even does interior and exterior painting. At one point, we had a freak leak from a skylight that had been installed. Cristian dropped what he was doing and came immediately to inspect it; determined the company who made the product hadn't provided enough flashing and did what it took to fix it and made sure it didn't leak again. We had a freak rainstorm that preciptated the leak, and were waiting for the inspector to come; he made sure that all was fixed in time and good spirit. I would not hesitate to recommend Cristian. His work and his work ethic are top-notch. He is extremely responsible and ethical. We appreciate his taking time to answer all our questions (we always have A LOT) and to help us when we have chosen to do a project ourselves. We have had him back many times to work on small things since our remodel was completed and would never hesitate to ask him to do work for us.

Description of Work: First job: he remodeled our kids' bathroom. He tiled the floor and the countertops, put in a glass tile backsplash, put in new sinks and faucets, new hardware on the cabinets and other towel bars/rings/etc, and painted. Then he refinished an attic space, adding drywall, new floor and lighting and making very good suggestions about how to optimize the space. Last, he remodeled our master bath. He did a beautiful job tiling the bath, shower and floor, putting in all new fixtures, got us a great price on beautiful new cabinetry, did a great job installing decorative molding and also did a great job painting. He also painted the master bedroom, installed a new ceiling fan and installed new lighting. I'm manically-fussy, and I've finally found an equally-fussy person who delivers the quality I want. The price I put above was the price for our master bed and bath remodel, not for all the jobs he's done.
