From the first contact to request a bid until the final cleanup, Rich (the owner) and his crew at All Concrete Surfaces demonstrated the utmost in professionalism. Communication was excellent, we always knew what to expect. They completely took care of the burdensome Seattle permit process. Their skill in demolition, grading, pouring and concrete finishing is unsurpassed; our new driveway is perfect. We have never been more pleased in dealing with any contractor.

I could not be happier with my new patio and driveway. The owner, Rich, and his crew are highly skilled craftsman. They pay close attention to details which results in a highly desirable end product. For example, the step to my patio was all wrong- too narrow, uncentered, uneven spacing, and incorrect slope. I never really thought about it, but now that I have a new step correctly done, I see a big improvement in aesthetics and safety. Another example, is that my old driveway had standing water on it. Rich took care of the drainage problem with a simple drywell. The crew takes care to put in straight cleans lines to break up the slab. They also make sure to smooth out and rake the surface so that it looks really good. At the end, they clean up really well and rake smooth the surrounding landscape.

We are so happy we chose All Concrete Surfaces to install the cement patio we have wanted for years! After receiving many quotes, All Concrete Surfaces came in at the best cost and more importantly we felt most comfortable with the knowledge and experience Rich (the owner) has. Rich was there for us every step of the way during our project and is extremely knowledgeable in all things cement including: aesthetics, design and maintenance. Our project was unfortunately halted during the COVID Shelter in Place which began the day the concrete was supposed to be poured. Rich communicated with us regularly throughout as we navigated the situation - once the crew was approved back to work we were taken care of immediately. Everyday the crew arrived on time, were respectful of Social Distancing, and left our backyard cleaned of any construction materials. The patio is beautiful and we love everything about it! We HIGHLY recommend them and have been referring them to all of our family and friends.

Rich is the "go-to" concrete guy for the Eastside. He completed two major projects at my house this summer and I couldn't be happier with the results. A new driveway and steps completely changed the look of the front of my house. He has a good eye for design and the construction skills necessary to complete even the trickiest projects. The crew was great to work with and Rich is onsite and working the entire project. His schedule fills up quickly so get on his list early in the year.

The initial work all went very well and I was especially grateful they managed to fit us in at the very end of the season. Unfortunately we did experience some cracking and discoloration of our back patio. Even though we were outside the time limit in the contract for warranty on these things, I was SO impressed that the owner himself came out to inspect the work and offer solutions. He was very generous in making sure they could take care of the discoloration, power wash and seal the patio, and gave us various options on the crack (including replacing that whole section of patio!). To me this is truly above and beyond what's expected and shows how strongly ACS stands behind their work.

Rich returned my request for a bid within a couple hours and showed up right on time. I had gotten 3 other contractors to submit bids. I picked Rich more so because he is the owner and he is a worker along with his crew. His bid did actually come in as the lowest but I would have hired him anyway. Rich was very communicative, telling me the process day by day of what they had done and what would come next. They showed up every day right on time. The aggregate slabs came out beautiful. I highly recommend All Concrete Surfaces LLC.

ACS was the first to respond to a request for bids. They were the only one of 4 contractors solicited to provide an acceptable written bid. ACS was properly licensed and bonded. The only glitch was their refusal to provide references claiming customer privacy and reliance on on-line reviews. I think potential customers should be able to actually see previous work - especially for a project that ended up costing about $24K. We also required that ACS obtain any needed permits as we have 11' of city (Bothell) ROW back from the curb. ACS had some trouble satisfying the city requirements that resulted in a week delay which cost us some ideal weather windows. Once underway work proceeded well except that the old concrete was much thicker than anticipated (up to 8") which resulted in an extra charge of $1K. The job required pours over 2 days and wet weather caused another week's delay. However, Rich is very careful to not jeopardize the quality of the final surface finish if rain is imminent. He and his crew took great care to set the forms so that at the end the surface drains nicely without puddles and the problem with the Prius is mostly solved. While we had been aware that the old curb-gutter would have to be replaced (cost included in the bid), we did not learn until underway that the city required a portion of the street asphalt would also have to replaced (a tiny job of only about 21 sqft!). Worse, we were going to have to find another contractor to do that work since ACS is concrete only. While they offered one possible contractor, that company wasn't available. Numerous asphalt companies were contacted and the job was just too small. Another contractor working in our area bailed us out although that added another $1100 to our cost. The final 'surprise' was a $100 fee for ACS to obtain the permits which was not disclosed early. Overall, the quality of the work was very high. They came when they said they would and cleaned up nicely. They were easy to communicate with and willing to collaborate to get the result we sought. Rich and his crew know their business and do a quality work. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again. (NOTE The attached picture includes a block wall that was not part of the work ACS did although the way they laid the forms resulted in a very nice looking wall!)

Excellent work! Rich came out and did a fantastic job explaining the different options I had and giving me an honest quote. His team did fantastic work and it exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend him.

Rich and his crew did excellent work which included creating a aged face to the concrete that allowed it to better match up to the existing 50 year old patio. Rich listened to what our needs by installing pipe under the border of the new patio so that we could continue to easily route water to our planting beds. As promised the crew came back out the day after the pour was completed to inspect their work and clean up around the perimeter of the pour. Nice job that we'll appreciate for decades to come:-)

Rich was responsive, professional and I think the price was pretty competitive (although I didn't get a lot of other bids). I plan to hire him again when I redo my driveway and add some walkways!

They added re-bar to the foundation framing, which was not originally done (and probably why it cracked and sunk as it did), so it's better than new. Was very watchful of the weather to make sure the concrete cured correctly, which meant multiple trips during the repaving process. Clean-up was done well, too. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone - and will definitely use them again to replace a larger cracked area in the future. They were outstanding to work with (which we can't say about most of the people we've hired).

The owner of the company, Richard Fredrickson, immediately answered our query for a bid after we left a message. He arrived, measured the project, pointed out what he would do versus what was done previously, answered questions and suggestions we had, and then said the most important part. He, personally, worked on all jobsites and supervised his employees. A suggested timeline was made, the office called a week prior to the beginning as a reminder, and were they prompt! Richard and his crew of 2 men and 1 woman showed up. Not only did they ALL work, but were friendly and approachable. The real fun started once the pour began and, again, everyone was involved. The pour took 2 days to complete and the entire project 4 days...long driveway with quite an up-hill slope. After the first day we witnessed something even our neighbor who is a contractor positively commented about. How they stayed and cleaned everything until after dark every day...even crawled around on hands and knees. This crew was incredible. The woman employee has been with Rich for 16 years and she works like any man you would observe on a jobsite...and still maintains her femininity. Rich has owned his business for 35 years and is already booked out into March 2017. That speaks for the kind of work they do and how dependable they are. Would we hire them again? Absolutely and well worth every penny!!

They were the only provider i called that actually returned my call in timely fashion. Came out to give an estimate quickly and even though they were busy found a way to fit me in within 2 weeks since the job was small. They always responded within a day or 2 when i called and were very professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again

Excellent. Rich came out and discussed my options, then provided me with a written bid. We set a date for him to do the work. A couple of days before the start date, he called me to confirm that we were still on track to begin the work. His crew showed up on time, and did the work in a professional and competent manner. The end result is excellent, and the cost was reasonable and fair.

I am very satisfied with both the professionalism of the service and the promptness, but also the quality of the finished product.  I have received multiple comments about the good work.

First, Rich came out to take a look at my driveway, and he gave me some good suggestions that I hadn't thought of before. For example, he recommended making my driveway 6 inches wider on each side, which I now really appreciate when getting in and out of my car. He showed me pictures of work he had done before so that I could choose the style of steps that I wanted as well as the brush-stroke finish on the concrete. Rich scheduled me in very quickly once I responded to his initial quote. I was really impressed on the first day of their work to see that Rich showed up and was actually doing the work along with his crew. For a lot of companies, I've found that the owner will talk through the project with you, but not do any of the work. So it was really reassuring to see that Rich was driving the bobcat and getting the work done exactly how we had talked about. He was also very communicative and introduced all the crew, so it's not like there were a bunch of strangers working on my house, which was nice. I should also mention that there were two obstacles that Rich had to overcome where I accidentally made his job harder than it had to be! One thing was that I had to leave the country in the middle of the project due to a family emergency, but Rich and his crew were fabulous and got all the work done on time despite my absence. Also, I had left a wooden roof structure over the stairs that they had to remove, and they were very nice to put in some temporary supports to hold up the roof while they replaced the steps. Now, the driveway is finished, and it looks beautiful. It's been about a month, and I can't find anything to complain about. It's holding up great and dramatically improves the appearance of the front of my house.

Right from the start, Richard Frederickson was professional and engaged in our project.  We had contacted several contractors some of whom either a) didn't return phone calls/email, b) did a site visit with no follow-up, or c) quoted a price that was quite a bit more than what we actually paid with All Concrete Surfaces, LLC.  Richard scheduled a site visit within 2 days of our speaking with him, personally measured and prepared the project bid, and oversaw the work once things got started.  The project was completed within 3 weeks of our initial contact.  It was fairly straight forward: build a concrete pad behind the house reinforced with rebar to provide patio and hot-tub area.  But there was a fair amount of sod that needed to be removed and disposed of, and only one access path from back of the house to the street (approximately 100 feet to manually haul sod) which some of the other contractors were not keen on dealing with.  Richard's team handled this work without any hesitation that we were aware of.  We are very pleased with the final outcome- lines are clean, surface areas even and smooth.  I would hire Richard's team again and encourage others to give him a call.

The whole process was very smooth and caused minimal disturbance for the neighbors and us.  They came back and cleaned up the landscape and took off the forms.  The driveway looks perfect and we are extremely happy with Rich's work and crew.  I talked with his crew while they worked  and want them to know they are the nicest folks you would ever want to meet.  Great job Rich.  Since we are selling the house in June, the new home owners are lucky to have such a great looking driveway to come home to.  We would hire him again in a New York minute.  Great job!!!!!!

I would definitely recommend All Concrete Surfaces.  Not only was the job done perfectly, but I was very impressed how organized Rich and his team were - scheduling, keeping me updated on the timeline, etc.  I knew well in advance the dates the project would be underway and completed.  I thought the price was reasonable. Nice job, well done.  

They showed up when they said they would. They did exactly what they said they would do and then a little more. There is not one thing about their work we are unhappy with. Furthermore, they are warm and friendly people I felt really comfortable having in my yard. They are thoughtful and worked well with us and with our neighbors. It's also obvious they have years of experience behind what they do. You really can't go wrong hiring them. 

I want to give two examples of things they did that went over an above what we asked for.  Before they started the driveway, they ran a lot of water on it to see where it drained. It was obvious to all of us that the water wasn't draining properly and Rich spent an hour or so helping us figure out an economical solution to the problem. Then on the day they poured the concrete, I had to move my car. When they were ready, they came to ask me to move it and I mentioned that I needed to bring our trash cans from the street.  They said, "You move the car, we'll get the trash cans. And they did!  These people are beyond nice. I'd be happy to have them in my home. They are the kind of people I'd like to call friends.

Originally I had stone walkways winding through my front garden landscape.  The walkways were too low, the stone material didn't hold up, and after a few years became very unattractive.  Rich came, discussed what he would do to enhance the landscape, solve some of the issues regarding height of the walkways, and then carried out the plan which included adding a nice sized landing where I can put an outdoor bench, or table and chairs, and planters to create a cozy area where one can sit outside and enjoy tea and biscuits on a sunny afternoon.  
Rich is an artist.  He got what I was looking for, and adding his own sense of style, created a result that was beyond my expectations.  Once he knows what you are trying to achieve, he will translate it into a finished product that you will enjoy for as long as you live in your home.    
Rich replaced my driveway last year, and did a fantastic job on that.  Observing him at work, I realized he was not only meticulous, he was an artist in creating the result you desired.  So, when I decided it was time to redo the walkways to match the driveway, there was only one person I would ask to do the job.  A third project is planned for the spring of next year, and I know I will be as happy with those results as I am with the projects he has already completed for me.
Plus, Keri, and Rich's other folks are all wonderful people, and as meticulous in their work as Rich is in his.
