+ -1 moreThey were great! I had 3 guys trying to figure it out. I hadn't realized that it wouldn't fit upstairs unless it was partially dismantled! I did have tools, but so did they! What was a simple lift and move turned into a much more complicated process. I was very impressed with how they worked as a team and were swift and efficient about it. We eventually figured which pieces needed to come off to fit up the stairs and they began the slow and steady lift up a flight of stairs. They were respectful of my brand new walls and floors and when placing it in the EXACT spot I wanted it to be. They then went to work putting it back together! They were funny and a pleasure to have in my home. VERY hard workers with a respectful and professional attitude. Great customer service on the fly. I will use them again in a heartbeat and refer them to anyone else I know that needs them. When you're stuck in a situation where you need a hand and don't know anyone in the area, these are the guys to call.
Description of Work: We just moved into our new house and bought a VERY heavy piece of exercise equipment that needed to be moved upstairs. It was delivered on a pallet and dropped in our garage for us to fend for ourselves. I needed muscle and cleverness to get the job done so I called WMLS.

+ -1 moreThe company took the reservation and contacted us several times prior to the move. 2 men arrived right when promised and started loading the truck after a quick site survey. We had estimated about 3-4 hours but we're not professionals. They finished after 10 hours :). They worked almost the entire time with only a quick break for dinner (I provided). They were professional and seemed happy providing the service. We and quot;took care of themand quot; based on the great service. Best money I ever spent.
Description of Work: Spent 10 hours loading a moving trailer with our family goods.

+ -1 more'This was the first time I used Angie's list. I relied on the reviews of others and they were right - a job well done. The guys were on time and got right to work. They handled everything gently and put it in the pod, wasting no space so that everything fit in the pod. They wrapped all the glass furniture to protect it. I asked them to move a couple other things that weren't going in the pod and they happily helped me out. The gentlemen that took my initial call was friendly and answered all my questions. I would definitely recommend them without any hesitation. Thumbs up!!!!

+ -1 moreI was given a referral for this company by a packing service. I wanted a company who could move my furnishings and boxes I had packed into a POD. We have a home with 2 stories and a basement and so I requested 3 movers for 3 hours. Not all my household items were leaving - just pieces we don't need at the new house or to stay here for staging. The movers arrived right on time and were super cheerful. They had and quot;can-doand quot; attitudes, which was really appreciated given the lack of enthusiasm I have encountered from movers with other companies. They worked very hard and if you can recall the scene from the Brady Bunch where the girls are telling the boys where to put their items and then changing their mind, that is a bit what my job was like. Additionally, I had people coming to pick up items they had bought from me off of Craig's List and they loaded them into their cars as well. All in all, a very positive experience. I plan to use them to unload my POD as well as move the balance of my household items to my new house.

+ -1 moreWe had loaded the POD and it nearly killed us. We hired WMLS to unload and are so happy we did! I called several other companies and this was the only one that called back promptly. The owner explained their policies clearly and even gave me a discount when I asked. He had great communication through a couple of reschedules when the closing of our house was delayed. They were able to come out with only 1 day notice. 2 lovely young men called to confirmed and arrived promptly and got to work. They were careful with our belongings, worked quickly and efficiently, and put everything exactly where we asked. The price was reasonable and we couldn't be happier. Two big thumbs up!

+ -1 moreI first learned about Elkins Moving from a couple of friends who were struggling to move a large sofa upstairs into their apartment. Jason Elkins had just finished moving another tenant into the same complex and jumped in to lend a hand. When I downsized from a large home to a small apartment I hired Elkins Brothers to help with my move. I had some heavy pieces of furniture and some antiques, including a very large armoir that weighs about 350 lbs. Jason and his crew of 3 arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time, and were fast, efficient, polite, and respectful of my property. When we arrived at my new apartment, Jason told me my job was to direct the moving team to the room I wanted each box or item to go in. They set up my bed for me and asked if there was anything else they could help with before leaving. From start to finish, the whole project took less than 3 hours. I was very impressed with the quality of service that was provided and would use them again without reservation.
Description of Work: Elkins Brothers is a moving labor company. You'll have to provide the truck/moving van and drive it to your new place. The movers loaded my furniture and boxes, drove 35 miles to my new apartment, and unloaded the truck.
