They had just finished a nice rock wall for us, so we paid in advance to have the above work completed while we were on vacation. When we returned a month later, nothing was completed. We contacted Jim Noonan, who promised us several times that they would be back and kept giving us dates when they would be here. This went on for weeks. They showed up one day to move some rocks into the area where the new wall would be built. On that day, Jim uneasily approached us about wanting more money for "extra work they had done after the last paid job was done". We had no idea what he was talking about, and he had just finished apologizing for being so tardy on this project (and we had forgiven him), so we were stunned that he was asking for more money when he wasn't even completing the job we had paid him for. We said that no, we wouldn't be paying for anything that hadn't been agreed upon, and most especially after he wasn't even doing what we did pay him for! After that day, we didn't see anyone for weeks again. After several more phone calls, Jim's men finally showed up one day to finish part of the fence. At this point, Jim stopped answering our phone calls and would only respond by text, which we thought very unprofessional, but tried to get him to finish the job as he had our money and we were hosting a wedding at our house in a week's time. The last we heard from Jim (via text message), was that he would be there the next day (July 31) to finish up the new wall. Nothing was even mentioned about the unfinished fence and irrigation that was left unfinished.

They never showed. They have our $4,500 and we have an unfinished fence to show for all that. We are extremely disappointed as we got to know Jim through work he has done for us and he is a nice guy, but we don't understand why he would do this to loyal customers. He really caused us a lot of stress and disappointment, not to mention a complete waste of good money.

Very pleased with finished product.  Pricing was a little more than other quotes but well worth the little extra money spent.  Jim and his crew were there on time each day and finished project within time frame of quote. Very professional in all aspects of job from quote to finished product.  Jim and his crew had suggestions and ideas that turned out to work very well. We have received many compliments on yard since the completion of the project.  I would recommend them and would use them again.

Blue Ridge Landscape owned and operated by Jim Noonan has been working on my yard over the past year completing the work described above.  All of the work was of the highest quality and remains so.  I began with basically two swamps, one in the front yard and one at the lake front.  Jim and his team have engineered a drainage system that has completely taken care of any water problems in either area, making both usable year round.  Many have tried to deal with the standing water on this property over the last 50+ years and none have succeeded other than JIm and his crew.  He and his team arrive on time each morning and give 110% effort for the entire time they are here.  Each day, all materials and the area is cleaned up and the area usable, no matter the weather. Jim and his crew are highly creative problem solvers that have adapted original plans to fit and work to the best advantage for my property.  There has been no challenge to big for them solve.  They have been a joy to work with, always listening to my wishes and mindful of my property, and neighbors.  I trust them completely and recommend them to all my friends, family and now to you.  Mary McClellan Aronen

 
Two weeks after our grass was hydro seeded (the very last thing to be done on 7/22/14 and we had paid Jim in full), my husband noticed small patches of grass dying.  We called Jim multiple times and left messages.  He would agree to come look, and then "not show," or have something else come up with higher priority.  In desperation, we called Mutual Materials and spoke with the individual who had given us Jim's name as a referral.  Amazing - Jim showed up that afternoon!  He spoke with the hydro seeding company and it was determined the soil Jim had a fungus.  Two treatments of fungicide were needed, and by this time it was so late in October his hydro seeding company was no longer hydro seeding.  The hand reseeding was not successful, because it was too late in the year.
His men did return and compact the crushed gravel path, because this was addressed in the contract.  The height of the gravel had been left so high, we couldn't open the fence gate. 
His 3 men were extremely good workers, but it was practically impossible to get Jim back to correct the above issues.  Otherwise, everything was OK.

Jim and his expert crew exceeded our expectations in many ways. Jim stayed in contact with me about his start date (he's popular, so not immediately available). His bid was detailed and clear, and he was very open to making adjustments to suit our budget. His crew arrived promptly every morning and left our yard tidy every day. When they had questions about our design plan or ran into an issue with the yard, they contacted us immediately. Jim always had a creative solution to any problem we ran into (like the yard being a bit smaller than the plan our designer had provided). His expertise is hardscaping, which we needed because our custom patio design wasn't simple (a semi-circle). His foreman was on site and in command -- he always answered my questions in a way that I could understand.
The final patio is gorgeous!

This provider is beyond excellent to deal with, is a designer as well and his crew is superior in respect and in taking care of one's property!

THE COMPANY PROVIDES EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND THE CALIBER OF THE WORK IS EXCEPTIONAL. IT IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT PLANTS/TREES/FLOWERS AS WELL AS THEIR CARE AND FEEDING. IT WAS EXTREMELY EFFICIENT AN COURTEOUS.
