 + -1 moreEverything was hurried up, right at the end of the day, even though they had all the paperwork early in the day - actually they had them just about closing time the previous (Friday; Long weekend because of Labor Day). If the Title Company had checked their e-mail in the morning, we could have received notification early in the day, and made proper arrangements for a more relaxed signing.
Description of Work: We were called at 4:00 in the afternoon on Tuesday to come in to sign the documents that day, because the lender had requested they be signed that day. Fortunately, we could re-arrange our schedules, and make it into their office before COB. Obviouisly we did not have time to get funds for the closing. After we got there, the title officer called the lender's rep to see if we needed to close on that day, or if 1 or 2 days later would do, and it was confirmed that the "rate lock" would expire if we didn't sign that day. It turned out that it could be extended a few days, but that wasn't the explanation we received from the lender's rep. When we managed to get the closing funds the next day, we were asked to re-sign all fo the forms (date difference).
