My experience with Trottners has been excellent. I used them previously to replace my muffler. They always provide me with an accurate estimate. For the air conditioner the actual price was less than the estimate. Their waiting room is extremely comfortable. Their dog(s) are friendly but not annoying. I am always treated well. Wish I had found them sooner.

Inspected front and rear brakes. Advised recommendations and cost estimate. Completed service in specified time. Provided good explanations about what was done. Very pleased for first visit to this shop. At first cost seemed high, then pulled out old invoice for same service done on front brakes and discovered I paid quite a bit more at a shop in New Jersey.
Excellent waiting room, actually best I've ever been in - coffee, tea, candy, real comfy chairs, tv. Didn't mind waiting.

I received an engine trouble code indicating a spark plug misfire. I took it to Trottners after doing a Angie's List search. Upon arriving, the overall atmosphere of shop was nice and professional shop, opening on time upon my arrival. However, price was really out of line for the amount of work provided ($247 to change one spark plug in my six-cylinder engine). I eventually ended up going to my dealer for the reminder of my spark plug replacement.

"We replaced not only your spark plug Mr. [removed member name] , but also the plug over ignition coil. That's $135.12 in parts. The diagnostic time to find your vehicles misfire problem and the subsequent repair labor came to $88.61, just under an hours worth of a technicians time. A couple of dollars in shop supplies and $19.78 in sales tax gives you your total cost of repairs on a 2008 Cadillac CTS. All of this was approved by you after the diagnosis and before beginning repairs. Very reasonable from my stand point, a shop owner who's been repairing the local folks vehicles in this town for over 35 years."

Car was completely dead. Called Trottner's and said to bring it in; they would look at it right away. Had the car towed to their shop. They diagnosed the problem and got a new starter very quickly. Starter was installed and tested and I was back on the road in short order. Very friendly people to deal with and very professional. I will be definitely be looking to them for car maintenance/repairs in the future.

It was okay, it was no problem. They did the work and it's still working. They had a loner car which helped a lot. I don't really remember a whole lot about it.
