This was done for my mother, who is smart but not tech-savvy, and it went great. Very personable, and would use him again.

Description of Work: Ron came promptly and was responsive to my questions and patient with repeating things for me. He charges by the hour and I had several things that I wanted help to learn on my computer. I will definitely use his knowledge again and would recommend him without hesitation. We reviewed how to remove cookies, how to set up favorites, how to take pictures from my camera to the printer, import to the computer and put them in a file for retrieval. He checked my security settings on my computer and made some changes that he recommended. Really a positive experience.

As desperate as I was for the services, my confidence in Ron and his wonderful, calming and humorous manner was almost more important. As always, he made me feel that I was a competent adult rather than a total idiot and that things would be OK -- and, as always, he was right. He diagnosed the problem so I avoided a crash, he came up with a solution (loaner + purchase), he explained the pros and cons of a number of different computers, he delivered when he said he would, he was kind and understanding, and the computer worked beautifully. In the first week, I had a couple of questions, which he answered by phone.
Description of Work: I had relied on Ron for several years (and continue to do so) because he is (a) really good at what he does, (b) professional, (c) highly responsive, (d) frequently able to help me over the phone (at no charge), (e) very funny, and, of course, (f) comes to your home. But this was an emergency: I had a huge work project going on my computer, a one-week deadline that had me working until the wee hours every day, and a husband going in to the hospital for major surgery -- and my computer was about to crash. So Ron took me shopping for a new computer (at night), then took it home to do the set-up, initialize and prep work, leaving me with a loaner in the meantime. He: removed all the trial-ware installed a variety of security and utility programs, updating and testing each delivered it in two days hooked it up to the printer and Internet transferred all my old files and verified them. gave me a brief orientation on Windows And while he was at here, he installed a mouse and a security program on my husband's computer. He charged me for 5.8 hours (and that's so like Ron -- 5.8, not 6).
