"Thanks, [Member Name Removed]. Glad we could help!"
PLEASE DO NOT HIRE COMPLETE TREE CARE!
"Customer refuses to pay bill in timely manner. Is insulting and rude. Asked for another month and a half extension to pay his bill, which he's had 6 months to pay, and I politely refused."
It went very well. Speedy contact after call, arranged to do the work promptly. Crew arrived on time, removed the trees so it looked like they had never been there, cleaned up afterwards, shredded and removed all of the pieces. I was completely satisfied.
Positives:
We were pretty vague about what we wanted, but William was very knowledgeable and had great suggestions for what limbs to remove and how to improve the safety and aesthetics of the house. He provided a bid while on site on that day. His price came in at least $100 lower than our other bid, and since he was a certified arborist and seemed more knowledgeable than the other contractor, we gave him the bid. We felt the price was outstanding for the amount of work done, particularly since more limbs were removed than we had expected, making a big difference in the appearance of our house. We're very satisfied with the way the job turned out.
Negatives:
William was a little difficult to get in touch with. The number on Complete Tree Care's website seems to go to an office phone, which no one answered any of the 3 times I called it. He would usually call back later in the day or the following morning.
When we accepted his bid and hired him for the work, he said that we could be fit into the schedule about a week and a half from that date (totally fine with us) and that he would contact us 2 or 3 days in advance to let us know the exact date. He actually contacted us the night before to let us know he would be out at 8am the next day.
When he arrived to do the work, he seemed irritated that my car was still parked in our parking area, which he needed for his truck and chipper. I told him I would be leaving in the next 5 to 10 minutes, but I could move it right away if he needed me to. He seemed very flustered and short with me throughout our interaction that morning.
I asked William about how long he thought the work would take so that I could come home that afternoon to pay him for the job, he said they would send me a bill. It has been two weeks and we have not yet received the bill, nor have we heard anything from Complete Tree Care since then.
The clean up work done after removing the limbs was somewhat lacking, in my opinion. In order to avoid damaging them, his crew removed 5 to 6 lights that were on stakes in the ground around the property. This was fine, however they did not put the lights back, but left some of them in a pile on our deck, and the rest in front of the garage. There was also quite a bit of leaf debris in the yard from the limbs being dragged through the lawn.
