This is such a fun place to go: It's really nicely put together and decorated (spare, smart, comfortable rather than kitschy and crowded), with a very pleasant and roomy waiting room and  a more than adequate parking lot. They always have the latest People, which is, of course, a key component of the hair cutting experience as far as I'm concerned. And they always have yummy treats for holidays.

Krys has great talent and a great personality; she's professional, lively, and considerate. I always look forward to talking with her and I absolutely count on her to know what to do when my hair starts acting wacky--she gives excellent advice as well as excellent cuts. She saw me calmly through a major change from medium-length hair to short hair (not easy with someone as change-averse as me) and will gently suggest helpful things without pushing them. I get asked who does my hair all the time; people compliment me even though it's not great hair. Most important, I always walk out of there feeling good about myself.

Charley gives an amazing pedicure, making me feel totally pampered. She's very knowledgeable about nails, which I really appreciate, and she mixes up very cool rubs. She's perfectly happy to work in silence if I want to read but fun to talk with if I'm feeling chatty. She charges $25 which is ridiculously cheap just for the amount of time she takes, let alone the quality of the work.
