Takeshi Kaneo was recommended by our architect who designed the new roof to replace the roof top deck. Tak (his nick name) came to meet me on time and was very professional and was flexible with me about certain aspects of the job. We agreed to what I would have done before they would start and the date they would start. Everything went very well. They worked quickly but didn't cut corners. We had some surprises with dry rot wood that needed to be replaced but worked out the cost for that to everyone's satisfaction. Russ did an unbelievable job with the siding that had to be replaced on the second story and cut out of one single piece the siding that went around the roof and trim. He also stopped the top of the peak before the wall to make the installation of the actual shingles easier. The house has a much nicer curb appeal now and it is a better design for the PNW climate. I will sleep much better now when it is raining knowing that water is not getting into our garage and walls and damaging our home.

Takeshi was born in New York City and raised in Japan. His English is excellent and his Japanese is of a native speaker. This is important because my wife is Japanese and has high expectations for contractor types. She has generally been disappointed with the quality of work we get from contractors we have used in the past. Tak, as he likes to be called, has skills and a work ethic that melded perfectly with my wife's. He would work sometime until 10:00 P.M. and not think a thing of it. From the beginning Tak performed as advertised. His subs, such as plumbers and electricians were in and out quickly and with professionalism. His tile man was extraordinary. Our remodel included extending the new kitchen into the backyard, adding a new roof line, framing, sheet rock, installing the appliances and cabinets. We dug out the basement to extend a bedroom, added a larger front porch, and gutted the fireplace. All this took only 6 months. We had heard to many horror stories about remodels this big taking 18 months. Tak was fast and on task always. The best part was getting to the end. His skills with finish carpentry was first-rate. For example, we found out that a mantel shelf was going to cost $500 retail, which we thought was too much to spend, so Tak made one. Outstanding. It's not often I take the time to rate someone in this fashion. We were so satisfied that we wanted to tell everyone on this venue. Takeshi gets my whole hearted recommendation without hesitation.
