I explored a couple of bids before selecting studentEdge.  I was skeptical because of the "student" factor and feared quality might be in question but was happy with how the whole project was performed.
Jessica (the project manager) did a great job communicating expectations, was timely, pleasant and professional.
There was some overspray where the painters failed to mask but Jessica handled the cleanup personally and professionally.
I would recommend this service and it's a fair value.

I had done the staining myself before but, at age 75, it seemed more practical to have it done. It had been quite a while since the house had been done so knew it would take a bit more than the usual work. Kyle came out to provide an estimate after our initial contact and seemed to be knowledgeable and interested in doing the work. We were quite satisfied with the estimate, was a bit lower than we anticipated, and liked some of the suggestios he made. After selecting a color, and deciding to use a solid, at his suggestion, rather than a semitransparent stain we were put on the schedule. We had hoped to get the work done in Ahgust but unfortunately there were several delays due to both other projects that we were having done and weather delays on other jobs they had scheduled. Work finally got underway after Labor Day but there were a few problems, at times, due to rain. The crew did an excellent job with surface prep and masking and the staining went very well. We decided, again at Kyle's suggestion, to have 2 coats which took a bit more time. We thought that it had been a long time since we had seen 2 young men work as hard as Garret and Galen, not to mention being as courteous, helpful, and friendly as they always were. The house has seveal very high peaks so the work can be difficult. They did an excellent job of cleanup though there was a small problem with some stain fallout on the deck. Kyle took care of that during his review after they were finished. We are extremely pleased with the way the house looks and have had a number of complements about it, including our daughters and their families and would have no hesitation in using Student Edge again both for the quality of the work and also helping provide work for college students.

They painted the exterior of our home. They were very polite and worked hard. Every day, at the end of the day, Andrey would knock on our door and explain what they had done that day and what they were planning to do the next day. The job took a little longer than they anticipated, but they did a great job. Cleanup could have been a little better, but it was fine.

Once again, these guys were great. I dealt with Jamie and Nick. He spent time with his crew to go over the details on a daily basis. When our home was done, it looked amazing, we had several comments from the neighbors. They came in on schedule and under budget.

These guys were great, I dealt with Jamie the owner of the business and we walked through the project. He spent time with his crew to go over the details twice. This was the last step on a large rennovation project so the stakes were high and Jamie and his team came through. When our home was done, it looked like a new construction model home. The lines were great as we did different colored walls and ceilings.
I'm planning on using them again for the exterior of my house later in the summer.

Painted exterior of the house and and quot;stainedand quot; deck. You get what you pay for. I had other bids but went with Student Edge to save money. Poor decision on my part.
The branch manager was wonderful. She worked long hours and tried very hard to please. I feel that the group as a whole needs more experience. Because of rain, the job took much longer than planned. During the times it could be painted, the main painters worked on another house, leaving only one person to finish mine. I'm a bit concerned that they continued to paint in the rain, although not during a downpour.
The prep work was great in some areas and poor in others. i.e. My garage doors had to be redone after they were painted. One of the reasons I painted in the first place was because the doors were peeling. The young man sprayed the doors, peeling and all. Clean up is very important to me and I was disappointed. I had paint on things that weren't meant to be painted, flowers were broken, paint chips left behind... I feel laborers in general need to be more respectful of others property.
My deck needed to be restained. I was told that a solid stain would look better because it was an older deck with varying degrees of fading and a semi-transparent stain would show the flaws too much. I made it clear I DID NOT want it to look painted. I wish I had seen a photo so I could have made an educated decision. I would have chosed the semi-tranparent hands down. My deck looks like it was painted with brown paint.

All they do is take the order and sub it to somebody. I wouldn't use them again but hire a painter. They send a few students for marketing and then charge you a premium. They were not even polite and just didn't even know what they were talking about.

Too much to write about but it best said each day we came home to find more mistakes than there was progress. We are still cleaning up and now I'm looking for a profressional painter.

Student Works is a company that uses college students in the summer that work as painters. There was one complaint about them on Angie's List, and there was one on the BBB in the last three years but it said that they tried to resolve the issue but the complainant would not get back with them. We were happy with them. They do a good job. They are not as expensive as most painters. They were very courteous. They did the best they could. They are amateurs but painting isn't brain surgery. They were careful and took care of everything that we asked them to be careful of. They are students, but they were very good and I didn't have any problems with them.

They started in the last week of June and it took them ten weeks to do all the work. They paint job was not very good when they were done. I had to take four days off of work to show them all the bad spots and the spots they missed before.
