RUDY'S PLUMBING

Couple issues: 1. They trying to charge extra after the fact, despite agreed and signed bid 2. Re-scheduled twice, delayed for 2 days. I needed to simply replace hose bibb and disconnect gas line. First tech came and gave an estimate for the whole work - $442, and scheduled the work next day. Next day someone from Rudy's called and re-scheduled to next day, then re-scheduled again. Finally another tech came and did the job. Then this tech (Steve) tried to charge $220 extra, claiming that the bid was for materials only. Despite the fact that line items was clearly saying "Install ... gas valve" and "Install ... hosebibb". Also claiming that $189 for $8 bibb is for material only is kind of overcharge. After push back he agreed not to charge.

They installed 2 new faucets and garbage disposals in October 2017. After 9 months both sinks were leaking heavily. We contacted a different plumber to repair this who said that for our main sink, the seal was loose and all 3 bolts holding the garbage disposal in place were missing. For our island sink, the piping had been installed backwards so that the connection between the u shaped pipe and the main pipe was less than a centimeter vs. the multiple centimeters it should have been, so after 9 months it had turned into a leak. We were disappointed that we had to pay a separate plumber an extra $330 9 months later to fix the issues from the original installation.

I couldn't be happier. Curtis showed up on time, was pleasant, respectful of me and my home, was knowledgeable about the issues and took care of everything and at a reasonable cost. I've used Rudy's Plumbing in the past and they are my go-to company.

They showed up when they said they would but were unprepared to do the work so I paid a rather high price for someone to come and tell me something I already knew. I understand he had to confirm it but it did me little good if he wasn't prepared to fix it. I had sent photos and size for the leaking part, even a video of the leaking. I told them they'd need a pump to clear away the water but when they arrive, they had no working pump and no replacement part. Their truck was a mess. The plumber tried in vain to assemble a pump in the truck but couldn't find the parts to get it working. He claimed it hadn't been cleaned up since the week before. That's find unless I'm the one paying the price.
They were polite and the plumber was competent, just not prepared or organized and I'm the one who now is expected to pay for what was very little benefit at all. They slowed  a non-critical leak but in the end, I still have to have someone back out to do the work I believed they were going to do when they arrived.  They offered a slight discount ($350 down to $275). Doesn't seem like much of a discount.

I regularly use them, and they are always excellent.

He cleaned up after the work was done, gave me the product information, and showed me how the reset works in case I had trouble in the future. In short, I got everything I needed right when I needed it.

It went well except for the fact that I was told someone would be here between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. I called the company at 10:15 to make sure I had the time and date right. Jason told me that someone should already be on the way at that time. Dean showed up at 11:15.
He was very courteous and professional and went to work quickly and replaced the broken section of pipe. There was some confusion over the price that was quoted when I made the appointment and what the bill came out to be. After pointing out that it was wrong, Dean gladly recalculated the bill. So, beware of ANY service you call about. Get an estimate over the phone and, if it differs from the bill, don't be reluctant to challenge it.

This is the second time we've used Rudy's in a semi-emergency situation. In this case at my small rental house. The tenant complained of a sewer like smell coming from one end of the house. The issue was a small leak in the kitchen drain line caused by incorrectly installed pipes from a previous owner's remodel, causing water and garbage disposal waste to sit in the pipe and rotted out a small portion, which meant that the grey water and waste were draiing into the crawl space.
I'd had two other plumbers out who a) hadn't fixed the problem, and in fact hadn't correctly diagnosed the problem and by rootering out the drain actually made it worse, and b )who correctly diagnosed the problem but wanted $2200 to do the work.
Rudy's came out, looked at the issue, came up with a good solution that was $2000 less than the previous guy!!!
I was VERY pleased. This is the second time for us that they've come out and done good work at a reasonable price. Rudy's will be my go-to plumber from now one.

Our experience with Rudy's Plumbing was very positive.

Although they didn't do any actual plumbing work, they did remove drywall and help determine the source of my leak professionally and gave good advice for getting the problem fixed.

Rudy's is always professional and punctual. They found the problem immediately and ordered the parts necessary to repair the faulty faucet connection to a hose. They returned the next day with the part and made the repair. When we wound up with a second problem that we did not realize we had we called and the plumber spoke to us over the phone giving us a tip as to what it might be and told us we could probably do it ourselves very easily. Rather than pay additional labor and impact our schedule we picked up the valves and replaced them. It was easy, quck, and inexpensive. We appreciated this suggestion and that they didn't just use it as another opportunity to collect service fees. My only complaint was that when my husband called them to ask a question regarding what we were told, he did not receive a return phone call. I'm usually the one to make the calls to them and have always had my calls promptly returned.

He is fairly prompt considering the situation and he seems to get the work done. His employees are nice and they do alright. They are good.

The plumbers came when they said they would and fixed the leak. The could not apply the soft top or tar tape because they needed to get them from the store. They asked and I paid them in full (my mistake), and they said they will return in the next few days to complete the job. That was 7 weeks ago and after 3 calls, they still have not completed the job. They did return to retrieve the shovel they left behind. The reason they gave each time I called was that the weather was rainy, they forgot, they needed another person to help with the job, ... but come on, they cannot fix it after 7 weeks and 3 calls? There were numerous dry days during those 7 weeks. Update: They finally completed the job on 1/4/2011. I upgraded some of their ratings to reflect the work completion.

The people that came out were always professional and they kept their appointments right on time. They guarantee their work and do a good job.

He replaced the old pipes with new ones. He was very knowledgeable, and the quality of his work was very good. I was very happy with the end result.

Everything works now, but it took 2 months and a lot of phone calls. When the part came in, they didn't know who it was for until I called 3 weeks later. They billed it as a separate service call instead of as a continuation which they had said it would be. I called and they corrected it. Then the sink stopper broke again. After I called 3 times, they came back and fixed it for no charge.
