This review of our 2023 deck rebuild is long overdue. We thoroughly researched and selected 5 reputable contractors to bid on our project. After interviewing all, PM Construction One, LLC won our business and we're very happy with the process and end result. Their bid was in the mid-to-high-end range of all the bids. Contractor partners Pavel & Ruben provided great customer service and dependable communication throughout the process. They provided design recommendations along the way that enhanced the final deck build, and they were patient and responsive to all our concerns. This team provided superb craftsmen on our deck rebuild - their attention to detail and craftsmanship were top notch –and the finished work exceeded our expectations. Our deck design plan and premium material choices resulted in a high-end deck that we love. From my experience, you could not go wrong in hiring PM Construction One for your deck project!

We were very pleased with the work that Pavel and Ruben did for us. They were happy to handle any additional requests that we had no matter how small and made welcome suggestions for the project. Everything turned out the way that we wanted. They and the team that they assembled did great work. The estimate and time to completion were spot on.

We have done many remodeling projects and working with Pavel was one of the best we have worked with. He provided reasonable schedules, always kept us up-to-date where he was at in his planning, and while he was working he kept us informed about when he would and would not be at our site doing the work. The project completed on time and for the cost he quoted. Pavel was very professional and his prices were the most reasonable.

After thoroughly researching the best contractors, I interviewed and received bids from seven companies before deciding that PM Construction One was the one I wanted for my bathroom remodel. Owners of the company, Pavel Mihaiuc and his son-in-law Ruben Lutac, had wonderful reviews, and they lived up to all of them. I had a water leak in my master bathroom that caused major damage to the kitchen ceiling below. I didn't want that to ever happen again, so it was important to me to also research the plumber that they used. From the plumber to the tile artisan, each subcontractor had great reviews and did an outstanding job. During the course of the job, I found Pavel to be honest and a man of his word. He did not cut corners and consulted me about options I had while the job was on-going. If there was a problem, he listened to what I wanted, was flexible, and had the technical experience to solve it in a mutually agreeable way. It was of utmost importance to him that I was happy with the job that he was doing, and I am totally satisfied. Pavel is one of those rare contractors who actually cares about delivering in the end what he promised in the beginning.

Pavel completely re-built 2 decks for us - 1 large main deck plus a smaller one off the garage. He did a great job. Great attention to detail. He helped us a lot in the beginning including selection of decking and railings styles, and deck design. He has great attention to detail - both decks turned out perfect.

I couldn't be happier with how beautiful my new 390 square foot Azek deck looks, thanks to the attention to detail of Pavel and the PM Construction One crew. He patiently met with me twice during my research/quote phase of my project planning. His cost and time estimate was spot on, and everyone who sees the deck just loves it. He helped me extend the life of my deck structure by recommending I seal and paint it - saving me money to not have to replace it. I found Pavel originally through strong recommendations of his work in my local area, and I've already recommended him to several friends. It speaks volumes about quality of work and customer satisfaction when the majority of your business is through word of mouth. I would hire Pavel again in a heartbeat.

Pavel and his crew did a wonderful job. Their "measure twice, cut once" philosophy extended to very extensive prep work making sure that the deck platform would be exactly level. The end result is spectacular. We will definitely hire Pavel for additional home renovation projects.

I highly recommend PM Construction One. From start to finish they were completely professional, highly competent, friendly to work with, and our new deck looks great. Their bid process was straightforward and fair, with ZERO hidden or after-the-fact charges; they worked around some scheduling issues during the project; and they updated me regularly on progress, with flexibility on a few last-minute changes. I strongly endorse Pavel and his team.

Pavel and his crew again did a great job on both the deck and the shed. They were easy to work with on the phone, arrived when they said they would, were pleasant to work with, and thoroughly cleaned up after the project was complete. It's rare that projects go this smoothly. Pavel is two for two...I'm a happy repeat customer.

Pavel and Ruben were the best. After contacting Pavel for a bid, Ruben came out the next day to take notes on what we wanted since Pavel was on vacation. A few days later Pavel emailed the bid to us. After accepting the bid we had a new deck in less than a month. They were the most professional of the bidders and had excellent ideas on the deck and rail details. They were very hard working. The two of them removed and hauled away our 400 sq. ft. deck in one day. We found them easy to work with--Pavel told us when they expected to arrive each day and sent a message or called if they were delayed. Their work was of the highest quality. We would definitely hire them again.

PM Construction One has done two different projects for us. First one was in 2016, for which I posted a review here in Oct of that year. We were so pleased with the results of the first project that we used PM Construction One for the second project. Second project was a complete renovation of a different home, including complete rebuild of master bath, new lighting in all bedrooms, window replacements, drywall repairs throughout, new vanity/fixtures in a second bathroom, replacement of staircase railings with contemporary ironwork rails, complete kitchen remodel with wall removal to open up the floorplan, raising a sunken living room floor, hardwood and tile installations, new lighting on the main floor replacement of all floor, doorframe, and window mouldings, etc. I just can't say enough good things about Pavel & Ruben, the two principals of PM Construction One. They were super-easy to work with, very flexible & accommodating to our needs, always responsive/communicative, and very knowledgeable about all aspects of remodeling from structural, framing, plumbing, electrical, etc. They came up with great solutions to the unavoidable surprises that inevitably come up as part of projects of this scope, and had great suggestions in regards to project design. They have a great group of specialist sub-contractors, all of whom did fantastic, high quality work(a special shoutout to Tibi, who did much of the tile work, and to Nate for the beautiful iron work). Compared to bids from other contractors, PM Construction One's pricing was very competitive, and given the quality of work they did for us, I believe we got great value for the price we paid. Work was completed in the timeframe committed, and they've been willing to return several times(as long as 6 months after completion) to address small touchup items that we missed during original walkthrough. We have been asked by at least a half-dozen friends who were equally impressed by the work done on our homes for PM Construction One's contact info for their own projects. I already have another project I'm planning to use them for, and give them my highest recommendation. Note: this is an updated version of the original post which, due to a technical issue with Angie's List, does not appear in recent reviews. The original version of this review ended up adjacent to my October 2016 review.

Had Pavel and Ruben remodel our kitchen and 2 bathrooms. We love their work and would recommend them to anyone we know. Throughout the process, Pavel and Ruben were very professional and had all the creative, but reasonably priced, solutions for any unexpected renovation issues we encountered. They are our go-to company to call for any home improvement projects.

Pavel is very professional and a nice person to be around. Our deck was quite complex, and because we were using composite treads by Wolf (similar to Trex, Azek, etc.), the joists needed to be closer together than with traditional cedar. He did a great job of laying a sturdy foundation for the deck. We're happy with the results, and I would hire him again or recommend him to anyone.

The job was amazing! Not only was their pricing way more competitive than anyone else but the job was completed within the agreed timeframe and to the highest standards. Like any re-model there were some unexpected discoveries such as ordering island cabinets that ended up looking too big (despite measuring!) but Pavel and team were incredible and found a way to get us the right cabinets with very little hassle and no impact to schedule. Their attention to detail was amazing; the cabinet trims didn't look great when installed as per manufacturers instructions so they worked extra days (no charge) to adapt the fit so the overall look would be much better. The transformation has been stunning -- I LOVE my kitchen! Thank you!

This company was truly amazing. We got three different quotes and this company was by far the most professional and trustworthy. I immediately felt comfortable and safe with them. They were professional and super fast with excellent craftsmanship. We would hire them for truly any house project. They are our go to company for anything now. Because of their service and quality of work and extremely fair pricing, they have made us customers for life. I cannot say enough good things about them.

Pavel and his crew were great. No nonsense and hard working. Pavel was very thoughtful and had great ideas for the deck. The finished product was excellent. In reviewing the work, small issues were corrected promptly. The work was finished in a timely fashion on budget. Bid was favorable compared to the others I acquired. Definitely satisfied and would use again or recommend to others. Plan on getting a bid for a bathroom remodel this spring.

Construction One rebuilt our 10yr old deck recently. The bid was professional and the quality of the work was excellent, even down to the small, detailed cuts that fit the sides of the house. When they were redoing the stairs, they noticed that the framing was starting to rot, and provided pictures and a quick, reasonable updated estimate to fix. It extended the project by another day, but the results were well worth it, and we now have a deck that will last us many decades. Thank you Construction One.

Pavel and team are excellent and we've hired them for additional work. They're honest, reliable, responsive and reasonably priced. I've recommended Pavel to everyone I know.

This is my first time planning on remodeling the house. I spent a good amount of time choosing contractor for this job - comparing the price and how easily can I communicate with the contractor. All I can say is that I’m really thankful for selecting Construction One as my contractor for this job. The owner Pavel and his guy Rubin are very professional, knowledgeable and responsible. They always patiently explain the areas that I don’t feel comfortable with and make sure we are on the same page. I can tell they not only want to finish the project right but really want to do a great job. During the period I feel that I can truly trust them and that is really important to me. They are very transparent on price and I can tell they did their best to keep the project within schedule while there are some other jobs going on at the same time. Overall I’m very satisfied with the quality of works from Construction One and they will be on the top of my list if there is any future remodel plan.

The main kitchen remodel in 2015 was the first project Pavel and his team completed beautifully and ahead of schedule. He was extremely creative in the redesign of my main kitchen within the existing footprint and worked with me to meet my needs and ideas. (before/after photos below) All the demolition was cleaned up thoroughly each day and everything was managed respectful of my schedule and my space. I experienced none of the delays, cost over-runs, nightmares, etc. that my friends and family have had with their projects with other contractors. His craftsmanship and attention to detail is admirable, and in fact, corrected mistakes and poor construction from the original design and other contractors. This included electrical wiring and plumbing, and non-level floors. The hardwood floors were installed with such care that they no longer squeak. All the materials and cabinets are excellent in quality and value.The granite counter tops are stunning and the tile is striking. The most recent kitchen remodel downstairs again is on schedule and on budget. It has been a pleasure to work with this contractor again. Everyone in his crew is a true craftsman who certainly takes a great deal of pride in their work. I have recommended Construction One without hesitation to my friends and work colleagues.

They tore the old one out and built me an entirely new one. They used composite material that's guaranteed to last 30 years. I'm very happy with the result and I would recommend them. I used to work with a lot of contractors and was really impressed with their level of customer service on the job. They would call to let me know there were on their way, keep me updated, and were happy to answer any questions or go over anything I asked for explanations on.
