PARK HIGHLAND MANAGEMENT

I like the apartment but the management sucks.  It is managed by BRE Properties. Most apartments that are built now have no storage but our apartment has more than enough storage and space.  It is very well-designed.  My husband is disabled and they choose to remain completely clueless as to their obligations to the disabled.  We have accessible parking; that’s a lawful accommodation that apartments have to make.  They abuse it all the time.  If you have a disabled spot, no one can part there except the disabled individual.  They think that if there’s no one parking there, any vendor or anyone else can park in these parking spots.  That’s just wrong.  They’ve abused the ADA law all the time and it’s just flat out annoying.  Plus, they are 100% corporate in their attitude.  They like to think that this is supposed to be our home but their attitude is that this is their property that we’re renting from them.  It’s hard to feel like it’s your home when their attitude is that it is theirs.  The apartment isn’t really high grade when it comes to quality – that would get a B.  However, the layout and the storage capacity is fabulous.  It still gets a B.
