Joe is the BEST!!! I drove 2 hours one way just to visit this salon for first time. I recently moved to WA, and with so many salons didn't know who to go to!! I spent hours researching salons, and decided to try Obadiah. They are the meaning of their name...excellence!! Extremely happy, and will return!!

Hair Salons/Barbers
This was my first salon visit since moving to Seattle this summer. I needed a good cut and dye for an interview the next morning. I picked Obadiah from Angie's list reviews.
Coming from KY, this place was a bit classier than the salons to which I am accustomed. A bit uncouth, but I asked the person at the counter what the prices for my scheduled cut and dye were likely to be. I was afraid I had accidentally stumbled into the sort of salon where and quot;If you have to ask, you can't afford it.and quot; applies. But I was pleasantly surprised to find the prices were comparable to Lexington, but seem to come with better service attached. I guess that's what competition does to prices.
My only complaint was during the experience with the person at the counter. While I was feeling a little out of my element, she condescended me instead of helping put me at ease. Not scathingly, but I felt a little unwelcome.
Then, Osha (apologies to her, I'm sure I spelled it wrong) came and gathered me in for my hair dye. She put me at ease immediately. She got me a robe, got me a drink, and got me situated in a nice quiet corner of the salon. We talked about what I wanted, and she made helpful suggestions that turned out well. I could tell she knew her stuff when it came to hair dye. I got my all over electric blue dye, with partial foil to pick out some purple locks.
The dying process was easy Osha was very confident in her actions, unlike my last stylist who was clearly timid when it came to bright dyes. Also, the dyes she used were much more pleasant than ones I've experienced before. They reminded me of almond extract instead of smelling of harsh chemicals.
After the dye, Monica took over for the hair cut. I explained that I wanted something low maintenance, the length I wanted, and that I had bleach damage that I would like cut out if it were possible to do so and keep a good looking cut. She managed it all very well. I love the new cut.
Monica and Osha were great, and really made the experience pleasant. I definitely recommend them.
The only reason professionalism didn't get an A was the sense that I was being snubbed by the first person I talked to.

I follow my hairdresser from one salon to another. She is excellent. The shop is very nice and has been refurbished recently.

It is a good and pleasant atmosphere, and everybody is very professional; it makes for a nice experience. The haircut was $35 and the pedicure was $70. My wife also goes to them. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future; in fact, I have a followup appointment already scheduled.

I really enjoy going there. It is a nice environment there; they have nice people. I think the pricing is very reasonable as compared to other salons. I go to Holly there. They offer a lot of services there. They are always nice, friendly, and professional. It is very clean. I spent $200 the last time I went there. I will continue to use them in the future.
