Sales person Kiran Singh-Kumar was very professional. She made helpful suggestions with carpet selection. Installers were careful with furniture moving and did an excellent job with the carpet installation and cleanup.

Neilson Bros. was responsive to our inquiries, priced it competitively, added on the coupon from the manufacturer to boot, arrived on time, install team acted professionally and efficiently, and finished in the 2 day window they projected.

I'd give them an A+ all the way across. They did a beautiful job. I am already planning to use their services again.

I first approached Nielsen Brothers Carpeting in May of this year. I was concerned about carpeting purchased 4 years ago from them that i believed was defective. The first salesman/ customer service person i worked was very non responsive and nothing happened for 2 - 3 months. He always said he was going to check on something and submit a claim etc. I always had to call him back to find out and it was always the same story. I finally was able to speak with Mike Stumpf the manager at the Nielsen Brothers Bellevue store.
He listened to my concerns about the carpeting and started the process of a carpet inspector. The issue with the Smartstrand carpeting was that from the beginning thread strands had been pulling out of the carpet. Also i was unable to get certain stains out.
Eventually there were large patches where strands of carpeting had come out. This is after only 4 years. Eventually a carpet inspector did come out and as i expected the claim was denied by the manufacture due to cats. There are numerous claims on the internet review sites about many people having issues with threads pulling out of the carpet. It seems claims like mine are denied by the manufacturer. There are many reviews in the internet about customers seeing carpet strands pulled out by the vaccuum cleaner. None of this is disclosed as being an issue when you purchase this carpet. And as I recall when i first purchased this carpet it was advertised as being a good one if you have kids and pets. My family has had cats for 50+ years and we have had a carpet in every house. Not once in all those years with all those cats and all that carpeting did any carpet ever fall apart due to cats. So be careful of pets if you buy this carpet and be careful of the vacuum cleaner you use because none of this is disclosed when you purchase the carpet and it seems the manufacturer may not honor the warranty.
So here is where Mike Stumpf at the Bellevue Nielsen Brothers carpeting came in. After the manufacturer expected denial of the warranty Mike stepped in and replaced my carpeting. Carpet, pad and installation.
 He not only replaced the carpeting but he was courteous and kind treated me with respect and was very understanding. The carpet is beautiful i just need to make sure my vaccum cleaner is recommended for this carpet. So I can highly recommend the Bellevue Nielsen Brothers and most especially Mike Stumpf the manager. If you work with Mike S you will be in good hands.

We had Nielson Brothers replace carpeting in two large bedrooms as part of our remodel.   We selected Nielson Brothers because the estimator spent time explaining how the carpeting would be installed to minimize seams and how their installers would take steps to avoid damaging our newly painted walls and trim.  We had a bid from a competitor that was a bit less expensive but Nielson Brothers seemed like the best choice given the detailed information they provided.
The installation occurred on schedule and they completed the job in only a few hours.  The quality of the work was outstanding.  You can't see any seams in the carpet and overall installation was perfectly done.  There was no damage to our walls or trim and the installers also did an excellent job cleaning up after the work was completed.

Before we moved into our condo, we wanted to get the flooring in the kitchen, the living room, the hallway and the bedrooms replaced. We contacted Nielsen Brothers and Mike Stumpf was the person assigned to help us. He was terrific in working with us to get all of this work accomplished within two weeks. Mike came to the condo to do the measurements. He then quickly got the hardwood flooring and the carpeting we selected ordered. Finally, he arranged for the installation of the new and the removal of the old. We would use Nielsen Brothers in general and Mike Stumpf in particular again in a heartbeat.

Installation was very neat and the floors look great.  They blend perfectly with adjacent maple flooring in kitchen and hallway that Nielsen Bros. installed several years ago.  Initial survey and explanation by Mike Stumpf was very helpful, and the installation crew did a very nice job.

We dealt with several Mike's on the sales staff and the installation team was led by "Gus". It was a totally pleasant experience with no pressure regarding our choices and total customer care on the part of everyone we dealt with. We recommend Nielsen Brothers to anyone thinking about floor coverings.

The guys in the store (all named Mike) helped me pick out the products best suited for our house. I brought in samples of our new cabinets, etc. and they helped pick out all the colors for the granite, the backsplash tiles, etc. The installers were excellent, very clean and tidy. The flooring looks amazing and the granite is incredible. Everyone comments on my kitchen because it turned out so beautifully. We chose 3 different granite pieces because the island was a different cabinet style than the rest of the kitchen. Plus, we have one small run of cabinets in the dining room that are also different from the kitchen. I thought it would be too much going on with all the different finishes, but it looks excellent. In the end, I am very pleased with the products we chose and the way they were installed makes the kitchen look like a showpiece.

We worked with the manager Mike Stumpf and had an excellent experience. Mike spent ample time getting to know our needs and equally patient in guiding us towards our final choice. Mike was also flexible in scheduling the order of the carpet and satisfying our request to postpone the installation a few weeks after the order was received in their warehouse. Mike provided two installers who were highly skilled, energetic, and demonstrated a high degree of quality in their work.

50% of the wood was unusable. The materials were returns from installer.

From start to finish, great experience. After describing exactly what I was looking for, Mike Stumpf, the sales manager, showed me a sample that turned out to be exactly what we wanted. It took a bit longer for us to settle on a vinyl, but Mike was very helpful and generous with the samples so we could find just the right one. The installers arrived on time, did a terrific job, considering they had a very old house to work with and had to move some heavy pieces of furniture and appliances. Hard workers, very professional, very responsive. As for price, I rated an A, but I didn't shop around. I felt that I got a competitive price and that Mike would have worked to better a bid if I had come to him with a better price. I felt very pleased with the final product for the $ I spent.

Complex install, requiring staged removal for painting, remove all doors due to higher pile and time sensitive completion.

Great job on early removal so we could paint. Complete, thorough and excellent cleanup.
Missed several install dates due to inability to deliver selected product from Mill. We had to choose a second product to make our deadline.

Overall, we could not have been more pleased. We had demolition and removal work which was performed cleanly and met all the requirements of our picky condo association regs! The installers did an excellent job and we have been completely happy with the all new engineered hardwood flooring, the tile work, and the new carpeting we had installed. The workers were courteous and considerate and did an excellent job of installation and clean-up. Our grade would be AAA+

I liked the salesman. He was nice. I suppose that their prices are competitive, though I didn't check anybody else's prices.

We looked at a big box store and decided to also look at Nielsen Bros. carpets. The selection was very good and gave us additional options from the big box store. I figured we'd pay a bit more but get much better service. I was wrong. The in home estimate was a high pressure sales tool used on my wife. The price was way too high so i attempted to cancel the order three hours later but they told me they already ordered the carpet from their east coast supplier. The estimator finished about 2pm at my house, i find it hard to believe he got back to his office and had it all ordered before closing time on the east coast. I faxed a signed cancellation of the order. They said it was cancelled, but my credit card ad already been charged. I called about the credit card charge and they agreed to refund the charge right away. Then they called and i questioned the increased square footage on their quote than my measurements. They explained the patterned carpet would need more material to match the seams and that explanation made sense, but the manager on the phone was within 10 square feet of what the in home estimator quoted, so i question the need for the in home measurement, except as a higher pressure sales tool. I negotiated the price lower by about $750 to meet what we had saved. We then booked the job. They scheduled an appointment for 9am. By 11:30am they had not shown. The store could not easily reach the installers that started another job first, but no call was made to us informing us of the change. The installers arrived at 2pm. They finished at 7:30pm. The next morning in the sunlight, about 30 faint streaks of faded blue were seen in the very light off white carpet. I think the carpet installers blue jeans had color transfer from the pounding during the stretching of the carpet. The manager offered a fix if my work with Resolve carpet cleaning didn't work. Well, two hours of my work got most of the streaks out. There is still a section of streaks I see when vacuuming. I'll remove those streaks next. I expected better service with a small business but we had many problems. I understand some problems can arise, but this was a small job, with at least three levels of problems, and Nielsen Bros. never initiated a solution, they would only react to our complaint and hope it resolved itself.

We were 95% percent pleased. They were very prompt in arriving when they said they would, and the work was done quickly and efficiently with minimal impact. Their prices were a little high, but we did go with a hard to find product. Our only complaint was a minor cosmetic issue, although we did not notify them of this so they had no opportunity to fix it. We were happy with the project overall.

I CALLED NIELSEN'S AFTER SEEING THEM ON TV. I WENT INTO THE SHOWROOM AND LOOKED AT THEIR PRODUCTS. THEIR CARPET PRICES WERE VERY COMPETITIVE AND I AM HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS.
