I told them what the problem was and they took it in and asked me to come back a few days later. I got my car back but the problem came back a few days later. The worst part was that they turned me away when I went back to them. They did not fix the problem. It was really rude and bad customer service. I would not recommend them.

Drove car home and it started smoking and blowing oil out engine breathers and seals. Had car towed at my expence to my mechanic for inspection. He reported that engine oil was overfilled to over twice the rated capacity and oil appeared discolored. It was his opinion that old oil wasn't drained and new oil was added on top of what was already there. I called Jiffylube and was told to bring it back for their inspection I explained that it couldn't be driven and would have to be towed and asked if they would pay to tow it to them they said no and recinded their offer to look at it. I had my mechanic drain the overfilled oil overnight to get it all out then put in fresh oil in the proper amount. However the engine still smoked badly and needs major repairs to correct the excessive smoking. According to my mechanic the high oil level caused the crankshaft to whip the oil into a foam causing a loss of oil pressure thus damaging internal engine parts. A estimate was given to me in the amount of $ 4,500 to completly overhaul the engine. I took my complaint to the BBB to no avail. Jiffylube's response was that they didn't do anything wrong and besides the car needed a tune up. I will now have to take them to small claims court. In the mean time I have been without the use of this vehicle for months.

Jiffy Lube is convenient and that's why I often go there -- it's worth it to me to be able to get right in (wherever I am in the area) without having to make an appointment. It's a known quantity. But it does cost more than other places, and I don't like the confusing way prices are quoted. You have to check and double-check what you're paying for so you're not surprised at check-out. This location's waiting area could stand to be cleaner, but it's not too bad. The staff is friendly here, and I did need the new air filter they suggested (and didn't feel pressured to buy additional services).

The services were apparently completed however the skid plate on my 2002 Passat was not replaced properly and fell off. The manager, Daryl, admitted to me ''this happens a lot, we don't have good training on how to replace the skid plates on VW's.'' He tried to get me to let them try to put it back on and I declined. I took my car to the dealership and will submit the bill to Jiffy Lube. Daryl explained he would submit paperwork for a reimbursement of my charges upon receiving my receipts from VW. I was VERY disappointed.
