I gave Dan some specifics about the number of rails, and verified with him the materials for the five, panel, four post, six foot high
privacy fence in cedar. They did the tear down on a Monday in rain, and were very neat about pouring concrete for the posts. On Tuesday, they came back and finished putting up the rails and pickets. Dan and Mike followed my specification for clearance at the ground, and stacked the reusable leftover picket pieces neatly. I could scarcely find concrete debris or remnants of the rotted old fence. They are as professional, polite and meticulous as a homeowner could hope for.

Everything has always gone very well. If they find something of concern, they always point it out and we talk through the options. I appreciate how communicative and flexible they are. They have been extremely flexible about working around the family and are even patient enough to answer random questions from my four year old. When you have people tearing up your house, you want to feel comfortable having them around your family. Dan and Mike are perfect gentleman and very professional. It is such a pleasure to work with them.

I was in contact with them about two weeks ago about doing some other work but we haven't decided if we are going to do the work on not but if we do, we are definitely going to work with them. These guys are absolutely great. They started out as handyman services but they also do major remodels and stuff like that. They are so honest; they are the only handyman type company out there that will actually give you a list of all the parts and pieces they use and how much they charge per hour, instead of just giving you a ballpark figure. They give you a detailed punch list and if there are any changes to it, like if it costs less, then it costs less and their estimates are always very close. Considering the amount of repairs they did on our deck, $900 was a fair price.

Their service was adequate. They were not real good in following up with specific instructions. I had hoped to develop better communication through the e-mail. They were not responsive in that. I actually went with a different provider. Their prices were reasonable. They did do a good job. I would not hire them again in the future.

They did an excellent job from start to finish. Their bid was lower then the competition, they got the job done within three days, and they did excellent work. We were in the process of trying to sell our house and the new carpet helped it sell.

Dan was very professional, very nice person to work with. The kitchen faucet works perfectly. I would definitely hire him again.

Using Household Custom Services was a great experience. They were very easy to work with, and came on time as scheduled.They completed the work quickly, and also saved us some money by finding a way to achieve what we needed to get done in our bathrooms for half of the cost.I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of handyman services.

Dan visited my home to see the scope of work . We scheduled a date when he could do the work.
He arrived on the appointed date and time punctually. Throughout the day he performed each task skillfully and creatively. He had many good suggestions on ways to achieve what I wanted. He is an extremely intelligent and hard working man.
I enjoyed having him in my home and would not hesitate to have him return. I have planned some small renovations, (new floors in the bathrooms and kitchen) which I hope to do soon and will definitely hire Dan to do the work. He charges time and materials and I felt the charges were extremely fair.
Overall, I would rank my entire experience with Dan as an A plus and would highly recommend him to anyone in need of his services.

Professional, quick, and on time. Because I travel a lot, having a service like the one HCS provides with a web form to fill out my needs and arrange scheduling really helps a lot. Quality of work was very good and Dan sent me a picture of the completed job. Good overall communications and followup; quick invoicing and solved all problems. Definitely would recommend again.

They adjusted the door, to put in new tiles. They did a great job and were reasonably priced. They cared about their work and were very flexible. I will use their services in the future, too.

After searching on Angie's List, I decided to hire Household Custom Services to repair the bottom of my garage door since all the "insulation" at the bottom was very old, damage,d and falling off. This job took less than an hour and he said that he charged for a minimum of 2 hours of work, so I had him repair the caulking around my kitchen sink and counter. All of these took just a bit longer than 2 hours of work and he told me upfront how long it would take for the repairs and I let him know how much I could afford to pay. After taking 5% off, Dan charged me $78.02, which I thought was pretty reasonable and affordable for two hours of work. Dan Gillison, who is the owner of Household Custom Services came by very fast. I called him around 9 a.m. and he arrived by noon. He was patient and listened to my requests. I am very satisfied with the two jobs that he did and would highly recommend his services to others. Mike arrived on-time, performed the services needed, and cleaned-up well afterwards. He also removed some cobwebs from a high location that we could not access with our standard step ladder. We spent about one hour discussing potential bath and kitchen remodeling plans, including how to support a bearing wall that we would like to remove.

Multiple household repairs had gone without attention for years. Finally, we had to take action to install a new larger hot tub in our atrium. This required that a sliding glass door and adjacent glass panel and frame be removed and reinstalled - this was definitely not something I could do myself, so I called Dan Gillison after reading his profile on Angie's List. He arrived exactly on time, worked quickly and very professionally. I can only describe the quality of his work as expert. Dan has excellent problem-solving skills - suggesting solutions to issues I had not considered. He was courteous and attended to every task on my list without ever once implying that I could and should have taken care of some tasks myself (my greatest fear). His rates were very reasonable (I was expecting to pay much more for the work). I will not hesitate to call him again to keep our house in tip top repair. I'm very grateful.

My experience was very good. They were on time and professional. They got the work done and actually worked on the weekend to be sure it would be done in time for our personal deadlines. Overall, I couldn't think of anyone better in terms of services they provide. We specifically worked with the owner Dan, who was both personable and easy to work with.

I cannot say enough good things about Dan Gullison and his company. Dan is a remarkably talented, kind, clean cut young man. I have been getting ready to put my condo on the market and Dan has been my go to guy for everything. It looks great now and I couldn't have done it without his help. He has done everything from electrical work to installing knobs and pulls. He organized and moved all of the things I wanted to put in storage. Three trips in all. Always on time, always competent and always very easy on the eyes! I wish I cold adopt him! He is the kind of man every mother would be proud to claim.

Mike and Dan, the company owners, are great! The are incredibly responsible, professional, and honest people who recommended what to repair and replace - and what not to repair at this time. They are thorough and do everything in a timely manner - when they say they will do it are were efficient about planning their work and getting it done. I was amazed at their speed and progress. The fence they built is beautiful and it was designed and installed in just a few days. They do the highest quality work. They bill for the cost of the materials and labor hours. They brought in a couple of people to help with the tougher electrical problems and caulking the bathtub. All work was of a very high quality and I would definitely use them again. They have my highest recommendation. I found this company on Angie's List. I am now caught up on my deferred maintenance!

They showed up 10 minutes early as I had told them I had an appointment I had to get to, so they were very punctual. They did the work quickly, cleaned up and left. Overall, I was very satisfied.

I discovered a pool of water underneath my kitchen sink and checked all the hose connections, but they were all secure. I contacted Household Custom Services and left a voicemail describing the problem. Dan was prompt in returning my call, asked questions to judge the problem and determine appointment scheduling. He arrived at agreed upon time, was courteous and professional, and I am again enjoying having a working faucet to use!

Dan responded quickly to our request for bid. He had practical solutions to the kinds of problems any remodel inevitably uncovers and worked hard and long to get our project done before his planned vacation. The workmanship is superb, and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy. He really cares about his customers being happy. We plan to use him any time we need someone.

They were reliable and did the job. Their prices were reasonable and they didn't try to hike it up which is something I look for. The work they did was professional. I would absolutely use them again if needed.
