I had pretty decent amount of indoor painting that needed to be done. I showed him around. It was 3K+ worth of job. Asked him to also paint a few walls that needed touch up. Every time I requested him to do touch-ups in certain places, he responded "I don't you any touch up- you do touch up yourself" in a rude tone. I've got the sense that he wanted to paint the whole room and charge more rather than touch up individual walls (I had leftovers of the same paint). The he finally slaps me an estimate that was over 2K from some of the more reputable painters on Angie's list. I asked him if he was flexible and he said no pretty rudely. What a jerk!

Mr. Li was very punctual and responsive. He was great and the job looks fantastic! Great attention to detail. I would recommend him to any of my friends.

Mr. Li's assistant showed up the day before painting to spend hours powerwashing everything. The next day, the house was scraped, draped, and painted (and caulked) in one long day. Precise and clean, great work at a great price. In fact, I'm one of four people in my office that passed his referral around one summer to get our houses painted. I was satisfied enough to have him come back a couple years later and paint a newly installed shed to match the house.

Master Li came to my house the same day I called to give me a bid for the painting of a part of my house outside. I had the roof replaced last fall and he suggested we wait until spring to paint the house and during the winter another area of the house will need to be reconstructed. Fearing that something might keep that from happening quickly enough I decided to have the main part of the house painted now and then after the new construction is done Master Li can come back and do this smaller area. We discussed plants and what we needed to do to get ready for them to paint. He said it was my choice to power wash the house or not since our house was pretty clean. He said they would scrape loose paint and caulk any area needing it. He offered to buy paint but I had some that we had purchased already so he told me the total amount he would need and we got the paint ourselves. He scheduled to come the following week then postponed due to weather forecast but always stayed in touch with me. The day of painting he arrived on time with 2 employees and began taping off trim, windows, doors, plants etc with tape and plastic. I was happy as I'd had painters in the past use shields and with those I invariably got microdots of paint on my windows which I would then need to use a razor to remove. They finished the entire job that day, left the house as they found it.
