Perfect! Bill did a fabulous job on the install. He & his helper were punctual, friendly and tidy...cleaning up each day. The floors look beautiful. Mike was a great help to me choosing the right wood for my condo. He gave me good reasoning for my choice and the color selection was good.

They started quickly, and took their time doing a great job on this project. My home is not a simple floor plan and attention to detail was required. I couldn't be happier! They cleaned up each day so I could still be comfortable as possible each night, and helped move my furniture back when they were done. I highly recommend them, and I will use them to replace my carpets soon, too! Three words, polite, respectful, and awesome!

Jim Land came out with in a day of my call to give a bid. He suggested tile and grout that I loved and really went well with the house color. His bid was the middle of the three I got. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional. The job turned out beautifully. One thing I found very nice was he called me for a slight adjustment when he found a drain that had been covered by flower pots that needed elevating. He gave me the option of replacing it or not and the price before he went any further. I liked his suggestion and the job turned out top notch. I would use Decor One again with no hesitation.

In February, I bought samples to test. It took me a while to decide. After I picked my flooring, Jeff ordered it. We had to move the install dates couple of times. They were very understanding. It took 3 days to lay the floor in our huge kitchen with 3 large islands and dining room, because I choose a pattern that looks like flagstone, not your typical square pattern. I was told it has a 56and quot; repeat. The results are stunning. Bill cut and matched all the grout patterns around the and quot;stonesand quot;, so you can't tell where the seam are. It is a very hard pattern to match up. Much skill was involved.
We also choose vinyl flooring for the backsplash around the sink. I was told it was his first time putting flooring in as a backsplash. It looks wonderful, and pulls the whole kitchen together. And it is very easy to wash.
They did a great job. Every one that has seen our new kitchen loves the floor!

Decor Carpet One was recommended by our insurance adjuster. We found everything about this company to be way above our expectations. The service in the showroom was the best. The installtion was total perfection and they went out of their way to deal with some issues just to make sure the job looked perfect. It is really nice to watch true professionals do what they know how to do and the results were simply great. I will never waste my time at any other flooring company.

It went very well overall, but there were some major bloopers. The vanitiies for each bathroom were custom ordered through a different vendor and they built them in reverse (small one for big bath, and big one for small bath). Thus the templates for the counter tops were cut in reverse and had to be done over. The delay for this was not on Decor but on the contractor and the cabinet maker, but once these guys were notified, the work got done. I thought the second cutting was a little slow given the circumstances, but this was out of my control.
The final product is fantastic and will be enjoyed for years.

We had a great experience start to finish. We had great assistance at the showroom in choosing a product and then choosing a color. The installers were prompt and professional and really seemed to know what they were doing. They did a terrific job of installing what I understand can be a challenging product to work with. The floor looks terrific.

They were laying down vinyl that we purchased by them. They showed up while I was doing the underlayment and helped me finish up. They finished when they said they would. Nice price. Good quality job.

Rather than seriously review Angie's list for carpeting and laminate flooring I chose to work with Decor Carpet One because of two good experiences 10 and 20 years ago. In the past year I have used three A rated vendors from Angie s list with great results. I should have remained objective and solicited bids from Angie's A rated firms for this work. To begin with, the sales experience was a disorganized mess. First he forgot to order samples then elected to not subtract out physical features such as cooking islands and cabinets, estimated labor for removing vinyl which wouldn't be done, etc. But because of that good prior experience I hung in there! After waiting four weeks the work begun and was to be complete in 5 days. We elected, at significant expense, to move out for the 5 days to allow the crew free reign of the house. The two employees made good time laying the laminate in a little over two days and by the third day seemed to be making good progress on the carpet. On day four very little was done and it was obvious these two were very slow when working with the heavy carpet we had selected. On day five a third employee came to help out but promptly left. When we returned mid-afternoon the entire house was in disarray with furniture spread out everywhere and the work was hours from completion. At 4:30 one of the crew was re-hanging the powder room door, got frustrated and proceeded to destroy the hinge and popped a large chunk of wood from the frame. At this point I requested they clean up and return Monday. We at least had our bed back and hopefully one more day would do it. I replaced the hinge and repaired the door frame and looked forward to Monday. When no one showed on Monday my call was forwarded to Mr. Salesman who informed me that nobody knew the work hadn't been completed. Seeing as the crews are employees, not contractors, I m not buying the story but now the only choice is to wait another day. In summary, this experience was nothing like my previous two with D cor. Back then they were a small group in Renton and responded as a team to any problems. Now they are part of a larger organization with stores in Bellevue and Renton and seem challenged to properly communicate and manage work. Also running crews out of Renton significantly reduces the work day. Work generally starts at 9 and ends at 3:30 which results in less than 6 hours of work on the job. The quality of work is average. We have a very visible seam in the living room running across the middle of the room. Carpet on a stair riser is not cut properly and the laminate trim is poorly cut and is missing in one doorway. My call on these went unreturned so I decided call it a day and vow to not use or recommend this company again.

They were helpful when we had questions or concerns, and are we happy with the flooring work they did for us. As with any contractor we have ever worked with, we had to initiate most of the communication about status, costs, time-lines, and work items. We would recommend them to others.
