I am very satisfied other wise I would not have stayed with them all this time. My next door neighbor and my daughter all use them. I have no comparison on the prices. All vets prices are high these days. Its a practice of several vets. We have recommend them in the past. My daughter has been using them longer than I have. I have been using them since 89.

He was not a happy camper for about a day. We have been dealing with them for quite some time and they have always been absolutely great. We have no problems with them at all.

Extremely competent exam and diagnosis. Dr. Ritchie genuinely loves animals, speaks to them and even kisses them while working with them. Prices for appointment were reasonable, and doctor was punctual.

Companion Animal has provided professional, caring and compassionate care for our dog and 2 cats for the past 8 years. Dr. Ritchie and his associates are extremely knowledgeable.. They pay attention to the pet and the humans, giving realistic treatments, expectations and support. We have trusted them to care for our pets during healthy, routine, emergency and end of life times. When we faced tough choices we always felt we had the doctors full attention and were treated with respect and kindness. When it comes to our pets, we want the very best care they can have. We have to put faith in the caregivers and trust them. The office staff is pleasant and responsive and reliable. I wholeheartedly recommend Companion Animal Hospital. We live 25 miles away and yet, would never consider going anywhere else. The fact that they are open 7 days a week and have late hours during the week makes it even better.

We've been using them for 13 years now and I just highly recommend them. The thing that stands out to me is that they are very accessible. They have long hours. The vets are good at keeping the cost down. They are not quick to do the higher cost procedures, they look for the simpler less expensive solution to start with. They work with the family for healthy pets. They are more of a preventative medicine.

It was really sweet as they left us alone with her for a bit then they took her but she had really long toe nails and never would let anyone touch them so after she was gone they sent us a plaque that had her paw print in it and you knew it was her because the paw nails were so long it was so sweet and touched us so much and my kids really loved it too.

The doctor that started that hospital sold it to another person and he is the one who has had it since then. I like all their staff. One of the technicians was a daughter of a friend of mine that I worked with years ago.

It's adequate. I had boarded my dog there and I wasn't very happy about it. I just used the veterinarian this time and I was not very happy about it either. I got shuffled around between two doctors and I really didn't like the way I was treated so I won't go back there. I have been there for 11 years and since the first doctor that I had retired, I have been shuffled around like garbage. The doctor that sees took off for two weeks and never got back on my dog. The doctor left and left it to somebody else which is not good. My dog died.
Response from Companion Animal Hospital
"The veterinarian who had been seeing this patient long term went on vacation for two weeks, and the patient’s care was transferred to another doctor while s/he was away. Unfortunately the pet had been previously diagnosed with a terminal illness, and passed away while their regular veterinarian was out of the office. It was an unfortunate situation and we are very sorry to learn they were unhappy with our service during this difficult time."

I have two doggies, one of which is a senior (15 years). Dr. Ritchie cares for both and he is excellent. He really knows dogs and can diagnose quickly and accurately. My senior dog has cataracts in both eyes and Dr. Ritchie was very good about explaining the situation and sending us to the Animal Eye Clinic to get a detailed evaluation. We drive across the bridge from Seattle to use Dr. Ritchie, that's how much we like him. The clinic itself is also good and has great office hours, including weekends, making it really convenient for working families to get their pets cared for by quality vets.

I have three dogs and have been going to Companion now for about 11 years. I love the fact that they are open Mon-Sunday & if I have any issues I can call & get my dog in ASAP. Over the years I have seen a number of vets but found Dr. Meier to be my favorite- she is outstanding! Definately a warm kind person that takes the time to work with both the owner & the pet. My lab was recently diagnosed with kidney failure about 6 months ago and Dr Meier has been a rock to me while we go thru each step in this tough time. Both my dog & I feel like she is part of the family.

Puppy had been limping for a couple of days - limping was getting worse. I called the office and made an appointment for a convenient time that same day. When we arrived, we had a 5-minute wait before being shown back to the exam room. The vet came in promptly, listened to our observations, examined him and gave us the range of possibilities with her diagnosis. She gave us some anti-inflammatory medication and instructions to help him heal. The office followed up a few days later to make sure he was getting better. All this, except for the cost of the medicine ($22) was covered under the puppy plan we purchased when we first got him, so no worries about the cost of getting the limping checked out.

My husband and daughter brought our new 13-week-old puppy to the vet for his initial exam. Dr. Meier was friendly, helpful, and thorough in her exam, and provided a packet of useful information for new puppy owners with suggestions for basic supplies and how to train him out of his play-biting.

Dr. Ritchie and staff are excellent with pets and people. He only recommends services that are really necessary; he doesn't try to "sell" you extra diagnostic services, etc. They are very kind and caring with the animals.

I adopted a pug shortly after moving to Washington and worked at Microsoft. Companion is close to campus and I had received a recommendation to go there. The first visit went well i had them do a check-up, make sure his vaccinations were up to date, check his teeth etc.-- they told me everything was great. The second visit i took him in because he was having some allergies. They put him on some allergy medicine, which i later found out were steroids, which they did not tell me. I also found out from the second vet i took him to that he shouldn't be on them for longer than 3 weeks- this was two months into the pills. The second vet, who is amazing, did an actual vet record and health check up on him. He had a tooth rotting in his mouth that Companion should have caught, he also had a cancerous growth that had to be removed that Companion had told me was "no big deal". Overall it went very poorly.

We were new in town and had to bring in our cat suddenly. Unfortunately, he was really ill and did not make it, but the folks at Companion Animal Hospital were great during this very painful time. Very compassionate, patient, and knowledgeable. The facilities are very nice as well. I will definitely be back once I'm ready for another pet.

Companion was the best at a very difficult time. They handled the situation very well and let me spend time with my dog beforehand. They were very sensitive to my needs and experienced. I found them to be completely kind and caring, which was greatly appreciated.
