Rodney Coulombe made our home buying experience as pleasant as possible. He was very thorough and was very communicative throughout the entire process. He made sure all of the papers we needed were in order and helped us get a good mortgage rate. His follow through is exceptional and there were absolutely no surprises. He has continued to check in even after the closing.

I would strongly recommend John (who has since moved on from C&E, I believe) for purchase or refinancing of your home. We couldn't have been happier with the service we received.

As a first-time home buyer shopping for a mortgage I called Rodney at Coulombe & Evered after combing the reviews on The List. I had many questions as not only was this our first time buying a house, but we also have a "complicated income situation" and a complex tax return. Rodney was very knowledgeable and quite helpful in answering all my questions. (Many of the others I shopped with didn't know how to address our questions.) I let Rodney know that I was only interested in a pre-qualification as we were still shopping at this point and he gladly did this without any pressure to complete the mortgage with him. We ultimately chose another broker due mainly to the fact that twice something came up in my schedule and then his planned vacation, so we were unable to meet in person. When I told him it just wasn't meant to be, he said he completely understood and offered to bounce my final loan terms off him to see if we were receiving a square deal. I took him up on this offer and he gave his opinion that we did get a good deal. And he did this without any solicitation whatsoever. (i.e. he didn't try to tell me what a bad deal I was getting and that he could get me a better deal if I went with him--he simply gave his professional opinion) Very professional all around and if my schedule would have allowed, we may be doing business with Rodney today.

We're still in the middle of using their services. So far, I can tell they're very prompt and professional. They have a pleasant demeanor. Everything about them gets an A!

Compared to two years ago, it sure is a lot harder to get a mortgage loan now. We contacted Brad at Coulombe & Evered after reading Angie's List reviews. He was very helpful, asked some questions, and then provided us with loan options via e-mail. I found it interesting that other companies that I contacted would not tell me interest rates until I had provided them with about 3" worth of paper work proving our eligibility-which is what is required these days. The only downside of Coulombe & Evered was that although I was relieved that I did not have to provide them with so much information in order to find out the current interest rates, I wasn't sure they were taking us seriously as the information Brad sent us was rather simplistic and I had to ask several questions before I got the full story. Even so, it was refreshing to have an answer without first digging up our financial history of the past 2 years.

Brad Evered has done several loans for my family over the years and is always extremely knowledgeable and professional. He keeps us posted on the progress and status throughout and is in constant communication. I don't think he turns his phone off! Brad is very proactive and continues to update us whenever there is an opportunity to refinance at a better rate. I highly recommend Brad and the entire staff at Coulombe & Evered if you are looking for great customer service and a "seamless" mortgage procedure! We will continue our relationship for many years to come.

EXCELLENT! RODNEY IS A YOUNG MAN WHO IS A HARD WORKER. HE IS UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN AND UNDERSTANDS THE INS AND OUTS OF HOME FINANCING. HE HAS CALLED US WHENEVER HE FELT THAT OUR HOME COULD BE REFINANCED AND WE COULD SAVE MONEY IN DOING SO. HE HAS ALSO DONE A COMMUNITY SERVICE FOR THE BOY SCOUTS BY ALLOWING THEM TO ASK FINANCIAL QUESTIONS WITH REGARDS TO BUYING AND FINANCING A HOME. HE HELPED THE BOYS WITH THEIR PERSONAL MANAGEMENT MERIT BADGES.
