So, the quality of work is great, but the shop is run very poorly. I really didn't want to write this as I really like Joel, but I have literally been waiting since September 24th, 2014 for things promised that week (I'm writing this in March 2015). It's not like I was asking for much... simply photographs of some incorrectly done work from the previous install and guidance on how to give them more money and get some rear video monitors in my car. I have pinged the shop monthly since last September. Every time, Joel promises it will be done soon. Every time (until today when I am writing this review) I believe him. It's like Charlie Brown and the football.
Another issue that will be a deal breaker for some is that you will pay for the labor they do even if they are silly. In trying to get a back up camera for my wife's car, I literally paid three times to install it... not because they installed three different cameras, mind you, but because the camera I brought was supposedly DOA on the first two occasions. Somehow the installer had not thought to test the unit (despite this being "super common") before running wires through the car. ANother time, while trying to get a backup camera, I resolved to buy the one they sold me (more expensive but they can't pull shenanigans like this right?) ... and the shop literally had zero cameras in stock. This after I had made arrangements to drop off the car that day. It was incredibly frustrating.
So, I am mixed here. I am not saying don't go to CNC... they do great work. What I am saying is they don't run the shop well and you need to be prepared for the frustrations of this, and avoid the shop if that is a deal breaker for you.
I found this business originally on Yelp and it received high ratings. From my first call everyone I spoke to was friendly and very knowledgeable. I called on a Wed. late afternoon and was able to get a Friday installation. I was given several choices to pick from but never pressured to spend additional or add features. They had all the parts the next day and called to confirm the appointment.
When I arrived they made sure I had transportation to my bridge game and assured me my truck would be finished when I was ready.
They also got a contact number in case there were any problems so they could check with me. It was obvious they really cared about doing a great job mechanically and with customer service. The radio cost $5.00 less than the estimate and sounds great!
