Jim was very professional. We had a dead line and he met it. We had company coming from out of town and needed our bathroom worked on. New tub and surround. Flooring needing to be replaced. He found that the floor had dry rot and corrected it without going over his estimate. Toilet, vanity and sink. He did an awesome job!

Initial experience was okay until paint began peeling from door 2 months after installation. Jim had his painter come out and paint again. They did a quick job which was worse than the first one. This coat began peeling in about 1 week. It was then determined that the door was not properly finished, so the manufacturer replaced the door at no cost. Jim said he would install, but I would be responsible for cost of exterior painting (another $600). 1.5 years later my door has not been replaced. Jim has stated he does not intend to honor his commitment.

"I WAS ASKED TO INSTALL A REAR ENTRY UNIT AND WAS ASKED TO RECOMMEND A FINISH COMPANY TO PAINT AND STAIN THE UNIT. THE COST THE MEMBER REFERS TO NOT ONLY INCLUDES THE DOOR, BUT THE INSTALLATION AND THE ROT REPAIR OF THE UNDERLYING SUBSTRUCTURE. I HAD RECOMMENDED A FIBERGLASS UNIT DUE TO THE FACT THAT HIS UNIT HAD ABSOLUTELY NO PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS, WHICH IS REQUIRED BY ALL THE DOOR MANUFACTURES THAT I DEAL WITH. BUT THAT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE, HE WANTED A WOOD UNIT, THE SUBSTRUCTURE REPAIR AND THE DOOR INSTALLATION WAS PERFORMED IN A TIMELY AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER AND WAS FLAWLESS. YES, THE PAINT FAILED AND I WAS ASKED TO HAVE THE FINISH COMPANY COME OUT AND TRY TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM, WHICH I DID. HE WAS UNSATISFIED. I HAD THE DOOR COMPANY COME OUT AND INSPECT THE DOOR AND THEY SAID IT WAS NOT SEALED PROPERLY BUT IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST INSTALLS THEY HAD EVER SEEN. THEY AGREED TO REPLACE THE DOORS AND I AGREED AND DID PAY FOR THE REBUILDING OF THE DOOR. THE DOOR COMPANY OF WHICH I HAVE BEEN DOING BUSINESS WITH FOR 6 YEARS STAINED THE INTERIOR FOR ME. BUT IN NO WAY WAS I GOING TO PUT MY COMPANY OUT ON A LIMB FOR THE EXTERIOR PAINT THAT WAS UNACCEPTABLE. BUT I GOT ROPED INTO FINDING HIM A PAINTER, I ALSO AGREED TO REINSTALL THE UNIT FREE OF CHARGE. THE DAY I HAD SCHEDULED WAS UNACCEPTABLE. AT THAT POINT I HAD DONE EVERYTHING TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM. I AM COMPLETELY CONVINCED THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE MADE HIM HAPPY. I AM THE TRUE CAUSE OF THE DOORS FAILURE."
