"Thank you so much [Member Name Removed] for your kind review !"
I went to jeff baker to get the starter fixed on my 1998 chevy Malibu. this was after I had been ripped off by another auto repair shop for $2,000. I took all of my paperwork with me and showed it to jeff.
I left my car with jeff and he called later with a $800+ dollar estimate.
he went over the estimate with me on the phone and, I told him to fix the car.
when I went to pick up the car and pay my bill, you can't imagine my surprise when I saw that half of my bill was for diagnostic. I thought that was strange because we already knew it was the starter. he didn't mention the diagnostic part on the phone.
there wasn't anything I could do because I already agreed to the deal on the phone.
he was nice enough however to let me pay him payments over a 3 month period out of my social security check. what a nice guy!
did I mention that i'm disabled? I have 3 stents in my heart, i'm a diabetic and I have extensive orthopedic problems. jeff knows all about my problems. we go way back. I used to be friends with his ex-wife whom dropped me as a friend after my second heart attack. .
I once got 2, $500 brake jobs at jeff's shop; 6 months apart. that was for my Lincoln. I maxed out a $5,000 credit card at jeff's shop for my Lincoln. he teased me about leaving my emergency brake on. that's impossible since I never use it. I saw the car up on the rack and one rotar had deep groves cut into it. I don't think it was calibrated right the first time.
I would also like to add that once I took an entire day off from work to drive 40 miles one way, to testify on jeff's behalf in a dwi case so he wouldn't loose his license and could still test drive customers cars. at his ex-wife's request. it seems they had a shortage of friends that would be credible witnesses. they didn't even offer to buy me lunch!
in conclusion; I would have to advise single women and disabled people to avoid the local wrench. by the way; you can tell when jeff isn't being honest with you because he avoids eye contact and suddenly gets too busy to talk to you.
hi jeff! you'll never get your hands on my new dodge!
not sure of exact date of starter date. need to check my check book.
"we have worked on your vehicles for years and this is the first I have heard about your complaint, we have always valued you and your son . Also thank you personally for your help in 2002 that changed my life for the better forever . If you still would like to talk and settle things im here to listen to your grievances and see where communication may have fell out. I hope you are doing well !"
