This contractor tore the roof off our home, and applied (very haphazardly and poorly) the synthetic underlayment paper over the course of about 4 days, then left our roof exposed in this manner for nearly 2 weeks of clear weather. But 2 weeks after they tore off our roof, our zip code received .63" of rain, and of course we sustained interior water damage due to the roof leaking. When we requested they come and put tarps on our roof, they did so. But they covered every vent and furnace stack on our house, (unbeknownst to us) and the next morning we awoke with headaches and noticed our furnace had shut off. Then we realized it had shut itself off because of carbon monoxide danger. Yes, our lives were endangered by these people. When we told them about the damage, they said the damage was minimal and insisted they be allowed to fix it with a fan and some paint. We got separate estimates from Belfor, and ServPro, and those estimates to repair the damage came in at $30,000 and $25,000 respectively. When we requested that the contractor cooperate in a liability insurance claim against their insurance, they refused, saying they wanted to repair it themselves. We are now working with an attorney to remedy our damages. Stay away from these people...they are not qualified to work on a doghouse, much less your home. Nor do they have the integrity or intelligence to know when they need to do what's right.
