Installation of new floors went pretty smoothly. Have a brick fireplace that is curved along the front. They did an excellent job of installing the new floors against that curve. Also, the integration of the new floors with the existing floors was seamless. Cannot tell where the transition is. Found a couple minor issues with the finish. (somewhat expected that with the amount of area being re-done) But, they were receptive and prompt about addressing them. Would definitely use them again in the future.

The floors are gorgeous- George and crew were punctual, fast, polite, and professional.  They sanded, filled, and stained to beautifully restore the floors and really make this house shine...all for a reasonable price.

Two installers worked all day to initiate and complete the installation of the floors in one day. They worked quickly and efficiently. The completed floors are beautiful. I would not hesitate to use their services again.

They were recommended by a friend and I highly recommend them. The technicians who came out did a great job and were very reliable. They were nice, fast, clean and accommodating. We only got two quotes but I think their price was really good.

George and Adrian made good recommendations, did a very professional job, and we are very pleased with it. They put a lot of work into it. It's a beautiful floor, with the water based finish we wanted. They were responsive to our scheduling requests. Expect that a newly installed wood floor will have to settle in for several days before it can be sanded and coated. Depending on what you pick, wood will always have some knots or naturally discolored areas that give it character. We chose to have some of the stronger bits of character installed in the closets instead of the aisles, and they worked with us on that. We are very comfortable recommending RHF, they did an excellent job overall.

Overall, the service was great, especially considering how reasonable the cost was. We asked them to come back twice to buff out some places where the finish had left a small rough spiky area. They were prompt and very responsive. There were a few small things that wouldn't prevent us from using them again but might set them apart from other companies: they spilled a puddle of resin on our front porch and some of the bottom edges of our stairs to the basement were a little sloppy. However, we have not had any bubbling or other problems since the installation, which was over two months ago.

A very good experience overall. We had used George a year or so ago to refinish the fir floors in our old house and were very satisfied with the results, so asked him (along with one other company) to provide an estimate for this work. We originally thought we'd refinish the original fir floors, but once the carpet was pulled up (we did that part) the floors were in such bad shape it made more sense to put in new floors. George's estimate was the lowest, we'd had the previous positive experience, and we were more comfortable with his attitude than that of the other company, so we went with him. It was often difficult and somewhat frustrating to pin him down as to the exact steps (and timing of those steps) in the process, but once we got that hashed out he was always prompt and completed the work exactly as advertised, and he was very gracious about working around our son's nap schedule. I also appreciated that he was willing to tell us when something was a bad idea (I wanted to extend the wood into the bathroom) even though it meant less money for him; the flip side of this is that I found it difficult to have a good discussion about all of our options because he had such a strong opinion about what would be best (we went with his suggestion, and are very happy).
As far as we can tell, George is the front person and does the sanding and finishing, while Adrien (sp?) does the actual new floor installation. I was taken a bit unaware that a different person would be in our house to do the installation, and would have preferred better communication around that - but both men did a great job and Adrien did some extra finish work with the shoe moldings, etc. that we hadn't expected but very much appreciated. Our finished floor seems very solid and is beautiful - and if we have further hardwood floor work to be done we will definitely call on them again.

George came out to our house for a free estimate which included stained or unstained. We had them done a couple of weeks later at a time when we would be gone. They came at the time agreed upon and were very professional in their work, making sure as little dust as possible would be in our house, using a vacuum system as well as blocking off most of the house with plastic sheeting. We were very happy with the result and would not hesitate to refer him to others.

George came out and gave us a free detailed estimate. When we decided to use him, he was able to come out within 2 to 3 weeks and it took 3 days to complete the work. The first day was complete sanding and repairwork and then the next two days was adding coats and drying time of the Swedish sealant. It looks great.

I contacted george via E mail. he came for an estimate, I E -mailed the acceptance back , he came the day agreed on with one helper , there was 1 wk between the installation of flooring and sanding and applying finish to all of the flooring. I moved all the furnature out to the rooms and moved it all back. He reinstalled molding back in the room where the floor was installed, I had to make a few cosmetic repairs with paint nails and cauking .

George and his workers arrived right on time, went right to work, sanded and applied two coats of Swedish finish. The work was completed in two days, was almost completely dustless, and is of excellent quality. In addition, George returned promptly to retouch a rough area under the wood stove.

They did excellent work and called back promptly. They showed up when they were supposed to and were great with working/scheduling with other contractors. I got seven bids for the work and they were the lowest price. They gave me a few referrals and I went to see their work. I was liked what I saw and used them. The bids I got were from $3800 to $7600.
