NICE 1 PAINTING

Bid was $1900 plus tax to pressure wash, apply oil base primer, and paint. We clearly instructed Mr. Yim that we wanted it to be same color as original, a light cream, which matches the color of the vinyl window frames. He provided a written bid that listed all the tasks and included the cost of materials. Unfortunately, the color was not mentioned in the bid. When they arrived the second day of painting and began removing masking, I asked didn't he need to leave the masking on to paint over the primer. He said it was finished. It was a bright white like a refrigerator, nothing like the same color as before. Communication was very difficult as his English is marginal or worse. After 20 minutes of haggling and arguing I finally agreed to pay more money if he would get more paint that matched the color. He agreed to finish only if we would pay $450 more. Paint was sprayed on driveway, shrubs, hoses, and gutter paint is flaking off (no Primer ??). He hasn't returned my calls.
