Flooring
When he put in the flooring, the wood boards, they looked okay. The should be pristine, but there were some flaws besides the light puddy in all the seams. When he sanded, puddied the floor, he used light colored filler for the areas that needed filling. The seams were significantly lighter than the actual wood slats, and completely ruined the floors with light lines throughout the floors. His response for the fix, was to use a sharpie like pen to color the light lines. When washing the floors, the sharpie marks were gone and we had the light lines again. In contacting Mike Mills, he initially said he would re-sand and finish the floors using darker puddy. After this conversation, that was the last we heard from Mills. We had our contractor attempt contact, and he refused to talk with him. We hired another company to re-sand and finish the floors, for an additional $1500.00. Mike Mills has proved himself as incompetent, untruthful, and a poor business person. I would caution anyone who plans to work with him.

Flooring
Mike seems like a nice guy. He came to our new home twice to give us his estimate and opinion how to best repair the hardwood floors after they were water damaged from leak in the dishwasher. After giving a reasonable estimate of the costs and a possible date he cold do the job, he then completely disappeared. We called multiple times and left several messages on both his cell phone and with the receptionist at his business line and he never called us back. We then asked the real estate agent who recomended him to contact him and was told that Mike replied that he would contact us later that day. He never did and we still have not head from him to this day. Needless to say, we will now be working with someone else. Very unreliable.
