Rich was amazing. We looked all around for someone with strong building science knowledge and expertise in spray on foam insulation. Rich really knows his building science and spray foam!
We started with a energy audit through Community Power Works in Seattle. Armed with the report and a suggestion from our auditor to look into Spray foam it insulate and air seal our crawl space we started the search which lead us to Rich.
Rich had no issue driving out from Bainbridge to Seattle to give us an estimate. He is full of knowledge and prepared a detailed estimate. He was super responsive to questions in email including sending me building science articles and tips on some DIY air sealing work I did.
He worked hard when he was on site. Workmanship was very good. Kept the site clean.
A nice surprise toward the end was that Rich was a PSE approved contractor which made us eligible for insulation rebates through PSE.
We can feel the comfort difference in the winter and the ventilation removes the need for a dehumidifier in the Summer.
I highly recommend Rich and Heat Holders.
He is also a hard worker. When he gets to your home, he gets right to work and doesn't stop until he's finished. We were really impressed with both his knowledge and his work ethic. We highly recommend him to homeowners who want to make their homes more energy efficient.
This level of work is not to be taken lightly but Richard will help you through the process and choices to be made. Do your research and ask questions. For us this took three months from begining to end not all of which was Heat Holder's work but it is a big job.
