Property Appraisal
MR. GUTHRIE (HOME INSPECTOR)CAME TO THE HOME ON TIME TOOK LOTS OF GREAT PICTURES, PUT TOGETHER A GREAT LOOKING INSPECTION ON PAPER, SOUNDED PROFESSIONAL, AND TOOK OUR MONEY. THE HOME BEING INSPECTED HAD A ELEVATED DECK THAT INCLUDED A HOT-TUB. WE ASKED MR. GUTHRIE TO MAKE A THOROUGH INSPECTION OF THIS DECK BECAUSE TO ENSURE THAT THE DECK WAS SAFE FOR US TO USE. MR. GUTHRIE DID ONLY A VISUAL CHECK OF THE DECK AND COMPLETED THE INSPECTION. BASED ON HIS INSPECTION WE PURCHASED THE HOME IN APRIL. THREE MONTHS LATER THE DRY ROT ON THE SUPPORT BEAMS WAS SO BAD ON THE DECK WE HAD TO REINFORCE IT TO KEEP IT FROM FALLING TO THE GROUND. WE HAD AN ESTIMATE DONE TO REPLACE THE DECK. IT WOULD COST US $16,000 TO REPLACE THE DECK.
