The new gutters themselves seem to have been adequately installed, I don't have any reason to think that they will give us a problem when it starts raining.

I gave them a C in quality because they left hand prints all over the gutters and my house that was freshly painted 2 weeks ago.  Our fascia and siding has hand prints everywhere they worked too.  Before they started the job, I pointed out to the boss that I had small cans of paint and brushes ready to repair anything that they marked up.  He said that they wouldn't need that.  Perhaps it's my fault for not offering a rag and soap.  In all fairness, I did not mention all this to them when they completed the job and we inspected together.  It's very difficult to see the hand prints in the noon day sun, but when it's not that sunny, they are very apparent.

I gave them a B for price because of the 3 quotes I got, they were all about the same.  Their price was good, but not better than any other.

And, I docked them a letter grade for professionalism because they told me that their pre-painted aluminum was paintable.  When I asked how a Teflon coating can be paintable, he responded that that's what the Custom-Bilt Metals representative told him.  I tested a piece of scrap gutter and found that paint does not stick to it.  When I pointed out to him, he repeated what he had been told.  Perhaps that's why they didn't bother to touch up any of the nicks/scratches left on their gutters.If you need gutters, these guys will be competitive and can install gutters that will work just fine.  If you are detail oriented, you might be irritated as I am.

Western Framers had set in the gutters several years earlier and had done a great job, so we called them to complete this repair work. The work was completed on time and our gutters were again working great.

They were very professional. They were very thorough in what they did. When we first made the appointment, it was too cold to come out, so they called to ask if they could come out when it got warmer, so that's what we did.

Called for an estimate and the installer came out within one day. He gave me good advice about saving money by using 2"x3" downspouts vs 3" round downspouts. He measured very carefully to ensure all downspouts would pass through the back deck and not block basement windows. He also gave me a book of colors so I could show my wife and take my time selecting the best color. No extra charge for any color. The install was scheduled at a convenient time for me. He called before arriving. He wanted me to inspect the work after he finished. I found no problems. He and his helper cleaned up after completing the job.
