They took about 12 feet off the tree all over using a bucket truck. It looks so much better now! Took them quite a while to come back with a chipper machine to grind up all the branches.

They took out our in-the-way, but beloved Rhody, but it didn't take this team of three very long at all. We also have a huge Camellia that was touching the power lines, plus a few extra branches from a small Mountain Ash, and the touching parts were pruned to a safe distance in no time flat by James who has decades of experience, and is careful of power lines. These guys are fast, artistic and super pleasant. They gladly weed whacked our overgrown sidewalk because the first job didn't take long. Marco pruned multiple bushes in the front yard and quite honestly made our overgrown bushes look like a park in an hour and a half. His eye is perfect. We don't know how much this will cost, three guys for an hour and a half, but we're always impressed with Thundering Oak, have used them twice, both for "emergencies" one was a fallen tree, and one was to save mature bushes before our side sewer had to be dug. We have always thought they were more than fair for how much they do, not by how long it takes them, but how long it would take YOU. They get so much done in an hour and a half, and cheerfully, you wouldn't believe it. The cleanup, yesterday, was unbelievable, too. They chipped, raked, and blew everything perfectly and hauled it away, even blew off the neighbor's side in case anything went over. This is a reputable company that can and does do it all.

We had another appointment and were unable to be here when the gentlemen came, however, we had already had a visit and a quote in place.  When we got home the tree was down, the round logs were cut and all residue was cleaned up.  We received the bill in the mail.
Very pleasant company with excellent customer service.  We highly recommend this reliable company and, if there is a need, will definitely use them again.

Bryce initially came out to our place and gave us a bid. His bid was on the low end of all the bids we received, so we were a bit nervous. However, Bryce and his crew did an excellent job, and if we need any further work we will be sure to use Thundering Oak Enterprises.

Steve Burke, an Aussie native, was like getting Crocodile Dundee on the job.  [Meaning very capable, not stereotyping his personality].  He had the tree off the house in under an hour from us placing the call, including his commute from Auburn to Puyallup.  Plus this was on a Saturday - during kick off of the Seahawks/Saints playoff game. The tree had punched a hole in the corner of the house, and it was raining and windy enough, well,  to knock that tree over.  Beastly weather.  He just jumped in his rig and came directly there. Service couldn't get any faster and seemed completely reasonable for what he did.  The  tree stayed on the property, to be used for firewood, and he sectioned it into  6ft. (movable) lengths.  A+  Thank you, Angies's list!

The service went very well. Apparently it was a five guy job, and the first day they only sent out three guys which would be my only caveat. They accidentally overcharged me, but respectfully gave me a refund to correct the error. I thought they did a great job.

They did a very good job!  If you don’t want to keep the wood, they have someone who will come and take care of it for you.

The provider provided an estimate of $250 to remove three 18 inch tree stumps.

We agreed on the date and time and he arrived exactly on time. He unloaded his machine and started work.  He used a chain saw to trim the stumps close to the ground.  He used a stump grinder to grind the stumps and roots in an area about five by fifteen feet, deep enough to for me to bury a 4 in gutter drain with room to spare.  It took him about two hours to complete the work, thouroughly clean the area, reload his equipment and provide a computer generate statement.  He was freindly and efficient.
Having noted our gray hair he suprised us with a senior discount.

I was referred to Bryce at Thundering Oak by another tree service company. The company I had used in the past was booked up so he pointed me towards Bryce. Bryce was very easy to work with over the phone and gave me an estimate based on photos I e-mailed. He had openings and the crew showed up as expected. I was holding my breath a bit because Bryce was offering to do the work for a good bit less than the other quotes I had. It all went great. They did what we had agreed on, added some additional work on the spot, and made useful recommendations for future work. We felt that the recommendations were intelligent and useful and were not aggressive upselling. We will use them again.

The experience was good. He did everything he said he would do at the price he said he would do it. It was great. He had some really good people working for him. They were real careful because the trees were pretty tall  and could have damaged the house but they didn't so that was really good. He was really busy at the time and we were not in a hurry so we told him to come back when he was less busy.

We do not have money to spare, and the one time we used another company just to see the difference, we could really see the skills in play by Thundering Oak,  The price was less, but it took a couple of months before hedges grew out enough to start to look "good".  It's a choice.
On anything that really matters to us that we want done right, we save up and spend the extra money.

The work they do is excellent.  They're very quick and professional about getting in and doing it.  They do a good job of cleaning up too.   However, sometimes you don't get a prompt response when you call them if they are very busy.

Was referred to this company by another (both on list), and they did a good job for a fair price.  The other two bids for this work were $1600 and $2100 (this doesn't mean you get to raise your prices, Thundering Oak!)

Bryce came when scheduled to do his estimate, and the crew showed up when promised. Scheduling was  smooth with their office staff readily available by phone (instead of being asked to contact via email, which is a major irritation to me from some companies)

This job was actually a little trickier than some, because our beloved cherry tree had split in three sections, with one trunk in our yard, and the other overlapping two neighbor's yards. The portion still standing had a large limb extending over a  neighbor's storage shed, so it needed special handling.

Several hours later, it was done, and there was a lot of cherry wood on the ground.  All the branches and brush were sent through their chipper as they worked, so this kept things clean.  One neighbor wanted to keep the wood that fell on his side, and that was to have been moved over to his property.  I wanted to keep a portion for myself, and specified where it was to be stacked.

My only disappointment in this job is that the crew just left after they finished, without checking with me (even though we had spoken earlier about what to do, and they knew I was home).  So I didn't get to inspect while they were still there, and discovered that they hadn't moved the wood as specified, and that it was mostly left on top of a damaged portion of fence that I needed access to for repair after the tree was cleared.

A phone call brought a quick response however, and the crew returned,  moved the wood, and cut up some larger pieces that should have been done before as well.  Cleanup was very good, except for an assortment of  fir needles, cones, and sawdust that were blown onto the lawn when they used their leaf blower to clean the driveway. I had to rake and clean this up myself later.

The callback was a flaw in an otherwise great job, but I still give Thundering Oak top marks.  They should have crews check in with clients (if available)  for a final inspection on jobs, however.

Requested a bid and arranged a date for the service.  They arrived on time, removed the tree and debris and cleaned up a second tree which had been damaged in prior storms.

Steve responded promptly to my first contact, provided a thorough written estimate with telephone discussion of their recommendations, reasons, and my follow-up care for the trees.  I was very pleased with their service and the work completed.  I will definitely hire them again when the bushes begin to take over the yard!

From the very beginning the communication was great. My wife & I believe in using ONLY licensed & bonded contractors and Thundering Oak filled the bill. Having a certified arborist attend to the tree was a plus and Thundering Oak holds that designation as well. They arrived at my home on time and finished the job as bid. My wife spoke with the crew and told me they were very very friendly and answered all of the questions to her satisfaction. Without question I would happily use Thundering Oak again.
