Pavers and Hardscaping Service, Fencing Service
Although we were paying for half the work, we weren't treated like customers. We were told initially the work wouldn't start for several weeks and then suddenly they wanted to start the following week - Right after Thanksgiving. We have dogs and were very concerned that the yard be contained if they were going to start so soon, as we were having the interior of the house painted, so the dogs couldn't be inside. I spoke with Al, the owner of the company and was assured that they create temporary fences all the time and it would be sufficient to contain a staffordshire terrier, a boxer, and a small dog who enjoys finding crannies to escape. The fence was a joke. It was black plastic held up by small spikes - maybe 2.5 feet high. As a result, my boyfriend couldn't work for the week we were having the house painted in order to watch the dogs 24/7. I've attached photos. As I said, the company was hired by our neighbors, but Seattle Grow was aware that we were paying for half the project. I can't speak as to why they were hired in the first place, since they're quote came in over double what we had quoted by a handful of other companies. However, for ease of project, we reluctantly agreed to pay our 1/2. When I pressed as to why it was costing so much more per foot - we had been quote $35-$50 by other companies, this company cost $74, I was told that it was a superior product they were using to build the fence. This did not turn out to be the case. It was the same fencing material anyone can go and buy at Home Depot or Lowes. The project, which we were told would take a week to two, took over a month, the fence still wasn't complete by Christmas and went into January. Again, having dogs, this was extremely frustrating. Once it was finally complete, I looked out my kitchen window to see that one section of the fence was not at all level. They had built the fence under a run off side roof that the neighbors have, creating a dry side for them, but allowing all their rain water to run off into our yard. They had to be contacted & someone came out and rebuilt that section. Again, this took weeks. Then we noticed the fence was sitting in the dirt, actively soaking up ground water. If left alone, the fence would soak up water and rot within a few years. I contacted my neighbor, who again contacted Seattle Grow and they came out to lay gravel to fix the issue. While the fence should have just been built up off the ground, I'm thankful that they at least patched the problem. Having just worked with a lot of contractors in the previous year, this was by far our worst experience.

Did not go well.  Would start a project and do it wrong, then have to re do it over again. Did not do what they said they would. I've had a leak and they have been ignoring my calls and not returing my messages
