I go to them or to another retain chain just because they are the biggest around. I have had mixed reviews with both. Sometimes we walk in to either one of the stores and it doesn't matter which one, and we will get some guy that they just hired off the street. The guy needed the job. He is a great guy, but I need plumbing expertise or I need electrical expertise. This guy doesn't know in particular what he is doing when I ask a question. I ask him will that fitting work for what I need done. He reads the package of the fitting back to me. I said that I could read the box. I need somebody to tell me that this was the right piece, because there were three up there that could work. I need to know which one was going to work for me. But other times, I have gone to them and asked what about this part, and I have got answers. They told me that I don't want that part and that I want this part and that I should do it that way. They just take the bull by the horns and help us do what we need done. But we never know when we get down there which guy we are going to get. That's the nature of the beast for any store. People need to work and not everybody needs to be perfect at everything. But it's just that specific time that we have got the question that it makes a difference. Their pricing is competitive. In general most of the time, there are never any issues. Most of time, I go in and I know enough of what I need. It's just that one particular time that I need a question answered that it's inevitable that I won't get it answered. It's just one of those things. But overall, it's good. With regard to professionalism, they try. I would rather that they redirect me to someone who would be able to better help me.

The subcontractor hired by Lowes was very punctual, completed the assessment, and gave the information to Lowes within two or three days. Two weeks later we had not heard from Lowes with a bid to replace our water heater. We called and were told Lowes plumbing department would be contacting us with the bid. Another two weeks went by and still no bid. Visited Lowes and were told the plumbing department was not informed the bid was ready to present to us. It was sitting in a file. We got our money back for the assessment.

I like that Lowe's does not mind answering questions. They have always been very helpful. They are helpful when I can not find what I am looking for.

They installed the skylight crooked and did not install a new scupper. As a result the paint around the area is chipping. I liked the company but I am unsure whether I would use them again. I am waiting until after they come back out to look at the problem to make my decision to use them again.

We were very impressed with the knowledge of the teacher for the 4 hour class, to patch a roof. We did not have any problems when we came home and attempted to patch the roof, we had all the necessary materials, thanks to Lowe's.

THE LAUNDRY ROOM DOOR CAME IN CORRECT AND WAS WHAT WE WANTED. THE BATHROOM AND CLOSET DOOR WERE MILLED WRONG AND WE HAD TO TAKE THEM BACK AND WE STILL HAVEN'T GOTTEN THE CORRECT DOORS.

IT WAS HARD DECIDING AND GETTING THE QUESTIONS I HAD ANSWERED. THE SALESPERSON WASN'T KNOWLEDGEABLE AND HAD TROUBLE WORKING THE COMPUTER. I ENDED UP GOING BACK ANOTHER DAY TO ORDER SO I COULD BE SURE OF WHAT I WAS ORDERING. THE CARPENTER THEY CONTRACTED TO DO THE WORK HAD TO BE SCHEDULED TWICE BECAUSE HE SHOWED UP 1 1/2 HOURS EARLY TO TAKE THE MEASUREMENTS, AND WE WEREN'T THERE. HE DID DO A NICE JOB ON THE INSTALLATION. LOWE'S DID A FOLLOWUP CALL TO SEE HOW IT ALL WENT.

LOWES CAME AND INSTALLED THE NEW DISHWASHER AND REMOVED THE OLD DISHWASHER WITHOUT CAUSING ANY DAMAGE. THEY INSTALLED THE DISWASHER CORRECTLY WITH NO LEAKS.

WE WENT TO LOWE'S BECAUSE WE COULD GET A REALLY GOOD PRICE. SOMETIMES IT WAS HARD TO GET HELP. WE HAD TO WAIT QUITE A WHILE FOR THE CARPET TO ARRIVE. I WAS ALWAYS CALLING AND WAS ABLE TO SET UP AN INSTALL DATE AS SOON AS IT ARRIVED. TWO WEEKS AFTER IT WAS INSTALLED, THEY FINALLY GOT AROUND TO CALLING TO TELL ME IT WAS IN. GOOD THING I DIDN'T WAIT FOR THEM TO CALL!
