Joe stayed carefully within the framework of the proposal and agreement we signed with him, making sure to keep us informed and to consult us all along the way. Several things stand out: not only is the quality of his work outstanding, but he often went beyond the specifics of the agreement, such as when he found rot in the wall where the bathroom pipes had leaked, or found flawed supports under a part of the basement floor, or when the walls to be painted needed retexturing. In each case, he consulted with us and was willing to repair what was needed, often without charging much extra. He patiently educated us. He took the time to go with me to the vendors to find material that would be both within our price range and appropriate to the level of work we wanted. He was always on time, keeping the schedules he had given us, unless there were delays beyond his control (material delivery, etc.), in which case he did everything he could do without them so that when they arrived he was ready to complete the work. The people who worked with him were also skilled and knowledgeable. Finally, he has the kind of integrity that one always hopes for in the skilled craftsmen and companies you contract with. I would hire JCP Construction again at any time, and recommend them without reservation and enthusiastically to someone seeking home remodelling and construction projects.
