"We usually receive a ton of customers with the FBI Money Pak virus. This is the virus that locks the screen with a warning that the FBI is watching your computer and you must pay $300 to unlock it. I have been repairing computers now for about 25 years so I am considered old school when it comes to having the tools to remove this pesky virus. Most places will tell you that you have to format your computer or purchase and external hard drive to back up your files which is not true. Our virus removal service is a flat $129 with no additional fees. I believe we had this PC back to the customer the next day, however our average turnaround time is about 24-48 hours."

"We were referred to this customer because their prior support person "stopped" supporting them. This was likely due to the fact that they drove them crazy also. (deleted member name) was taking over this position from someone and did not have a clue how the was set up by the previous person. Additionally we could not even contact the other person for information as they seemed to want nothing to do with this. So I was flying blind from the beginning. If you read the review the customer states that we "discovered" that they had outlook set up on an exchange server and not on a local machine. This made the scope of the job 10,000 times harder because in the process of trying to cut their internet/phone bill from $450+ to $120 we had discontinued service with their previous internet provider and therefore killed the exchange setup. This was because the client had no clue as to the setup of their network and therefore could not even begin to give me the information necessary to complete the job properly from the beginning. In fact they did not even know passwords to accounts, have setup discs, or other vital information necessary to complete the job properly. After the initial hours of setting up the network, shares, wireless, changing internet providers, etc. (which all work btw) that they were fairly charged for, they then had me do 20+ additional hours of running back and forth to their office (that they were not billed for) to solve a problem with contacts groups and outlook. This was because they continued to nit pick the way they had to send group emails out because of trying to save money circumventing having an exchange server. I was as patient as I could be in trying to resolve all of their many issues but in the end I could not commit any more "free time" / support to trying to solve a problem that would not have been there in the first place had I had all of the information to do my job properly."
