Auburn Foreign and Domestic Car

My husband started taking his truck to Auburn Foreign Car in 1979 (It’s still running). I’ve been taking my vehicles to them since approx. 1991.

It went really well. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they would do it, and for the price they said.

I have been a customer of theirs for years. They always do great work and always follow up. I still take my car to them.

I have used Auburn Foreign & Domestic Car for all my van's service needs for years now. They are very upfront and I feel I can trust them. Everyone is extremely professional. They also have loaner cars available if it will be a longer service.

It went pretty good. They were great.

This time, I only went by for an oil change, but with so many oil change shops pushing for added sales and charging far above the advertised price, Auburn Foreign & Domestic deserves a special mention. It is a pleasure to do business with them. I request an appointment online, they contact me to settle on a time and date, I drop off my car, and get it back serviced and washed. There isn't a single 'up-sales' pitch or attempt to drum up more business. I simply don't have to stress out about my car getting good service and at a good price any more. Priceless!

I inherited a 1985 Mercedes 560SL convertible that had been sitting in a garage for a few years. It had several problems that needed to be fixed in order to get it running (new battery, front brake issues, and transmission leak.) Based on their reviews on Angie's List, I called and spoke to Jerry, who was very professional and answered all the questions I had. I had the car towed to Auburn Foreign & Domestic Car, and it took a few days for them to complete all the repairs. They even removed some rats who had taken up residence in the engine compartment. Additionally, the car had been backed into a couple days before I had it towed to them and needed the trunk repaired. They were kind enough to drive it to a nearby body shop to get an estimate for me. They also replaced the driver's door window that mysteriously shattered while the car was in their possession. It took them a little longer than expected to finish the window, so I ended up waiting about an hour after the time they said the car would be ready. But overall the experience was an excellent one. I would recommend them and use them again if the need arose.

Took my van in to get fixed and they had the part that day! Awesome!

They were on time and offered good service. The prices were fair and reasonable. A friend recommended them. They were professional in dealing with problems. They were great all the way around.

I noticed a leak under my car and was frantic. I have never taken my BMW to any other shop other than BMW NW. I had called Northwest first, but they couldn't see me until the next day and weren't sure how long I would have to wait for them to check out the situation. I selected Auburn based on the reviews I had read. I called immediately, and Jerry promptly made an apt the same day. I got there, they diagnosed my problem within the timeframe they thought it would take. They were fantastic with me regarding crediting me the diagnosis cost towards my bill since I mentioned AngiesList. They had to order parts which will be BMW parts and they guartentee their work for 3yrs. I don't believe BMW NW does that! I did go ahead with Auburn to do this repair. I am completely satisfied and will take my car back to them for future maintenace/repairs.

From the first phone estimate to the final pick of the vehicle they were sharp, precise and professional. They changed the timing belt on the car and tuned it up and it was a very smooth process.

Service went very well. Price paid was close to the estimate, and have had no problems since the car was received back from them. The car was ready when promised.

Being new to town and with a pre-owned vehicle, I had no clue of where to go or what work could be needed. After turning my car in for maintenance at the shop, they kept in steady contact with me as we discussed the needed work and kept the car an extra night so I could arrange for a pick up (they do offer shuttle service as well). Customer treatment was excellent--I got answers to all questions both regarding the services done and my car's condition and how to notice other wear and tear. And I really appreciate them not attempting to sell any services that are not required. I felt that I could make confident, correct assessments about the services offered and performed. That is worth a lot to me.

They did an excellent job and I have been very happy with them. They are very courteous and I really appreciate how well they explained things to me. They have kept in touch with me as well.

When I arrived, Kyle remembered my vehicle and why I was there, even though I had never been there before. They got my vehicle in right away and I was only there for about an hour. The sitting area was clean and pleasant; if felt comfortable. When my vehicle was finished, Kyle explained what they done and gave me an estimate for my 60,000 service. Great customer service, they made me feel very welcome. They even washed and vacuumed my car when they were done.

We called to schedule an appointment and dropped the car off the next evening after-hours. The next day, we received a phone call about 10:30am letting us know in detail what they had found. Around 3pm they called back to inform me that the car was done and being washed now. I really appreciated them giving plenty of time before they closed since I work about 1hr away. All work was done as requested and right on estimate. The car had been washed and vaccuumed out when we picked it up. :) Everyone that we had contact with was very professional both on the phone, and in-person.

Great. The shop is organized and spotless. Staff is quick, polite, and down to business. Work was accomplished on time, van runs as new, problems from the prior (dealer) service were corrected and have not recurred.

I was referred by a friend who is a technician for a Japanese auto repair facility who said he thought they would do a great job. I took my car to them several times to diagnose noise coming from front of engine. I spent $900.00 to have a pulley kit installed on my Mercedes. they replaced all the fron pulleys saying that would fix the problem, it didn't. Then they replaced the water pump for an additional $650.00. That still didn't fix the problem. I know Mercedes cars aren;t the easiest to work on. But if you charrge very nearly what the dealer charges you should have comparable expertise. I finally took the car to the dealer to get it fixed. It only cost $150.00 for the part and $100.00 for labor at the dealership. Greg and all the guys there wer really nice, kind, and respectful. They even gave me a loaner car to use while my car was in the shop. That doesn't make up for money I spent that didn;t fix the problem.

The individuals there that helped me do have people skills and that's a must in my book. I wasn't treated like cattle or just another pocket book to reap. Keep up the good deal there and I'll be back often!!!

First of all my son's car is a older car that is not worth much and I wanted to get a trusted mechanic to work on it with the primary goal of keeping things safe for him. I called in and was able to make an appointment within a few days. Dropped of car and key after hours. It appears you are assigned a service rep similar to taking the car to a dealership. I told them of the first problem of the water leak. They estimated $49 to check the system. They pressure tested the cooling system because it is often times a heater that goes bad and only leaks on the passenger side of the vehicle. They also put water on the outside of the car and found no leak. Even though the problem has not really been solved the called and told me they found nothing and the only cost would be the $49 fee they estimated. I was please it was not a major problem with the heater core or something. I then asked them to check the service engine light and the ABS and Traction control lights. They estimated a $99 service fee for the work and I told them that based on the cars value I am not willing to invest a lot of money. They understood and checked the lights and found that a vehicle speed sensor was disconnected. The cleaned and connected the sensor and it turned off all of the lights and now the traction control system works again. Total cost was about $170 and I was pleased with the service. I asked before the check what the possible costs could have been and they told me some very costly fixes but I told them I just want the vehicle safe and they honored it and did not try and stick me with things that really were not wrong with the vehicle. The shop was clean and professional. I am pleased.

Called day prior to setup inspection - very helpful in setting expectations for timing and service; due to scheduling change, I had to change appoint the evening before - no problem at all; had vehicle seller drop car off - inspection took the 2 hours committed to earlier; evening of inspection received call and full report with inspection results; found several items I was able to use to negotiate a lower price for the vehicle; entire process couldn't have gone any more smoothly. Would recommend this provider to anyone in the area considering a vehicle inspection.

A very professional expierence, all service providers could take something from them

Good. Staff kept me informed as I asked for length of time appointment would be. Appointment was less than an hour.

We scheduled the inspection less then 24 hours before we arrived and the people on the phone were very easy to work with. We showed up for the inspection, once again everyone at the shop was professional and courteous. The shop was immaculate and the customer service reps were straight forward. I was expecting the shop to recomend several things needing service on the car but that was not the case. After giving us some brief advice after the inspection we were off to go purchase the car. This place is awesome!
