Description of Work: Car went in for a timing belt change. Car came out with a CEL saying cam timing was wrong. It did not have this problem when it went in. They said VCT solenoid was bad and would be $900 plus labor to replace. I bought an OE one for $300 and replaced in myself and cam timing message remains. Odds are they didn't not set the cam timing correctly in the first place. They used to respond to e-mails when I was going to pay them for stuff....apparently no more now that they are likely to have to eat a repair.

Description of Work: I had an engine light come on driving from Portland back to Seattle and turned out there were a couple of serious issues. They took care of me after a holiday weekend, got me right in with a loaner car and vehicle ready to return to my new job in Portland on 6/1/15. Description of Work: oil change, front pads & machine rotors, change spark plugs. Spark plug change was higher than I had hoped, but it was quoted in advance of the work and also cheaper than the dealer. Jerry was very helpful; prices he quoted were accurate, he also notified me of another problem and did some research on it without charge. Work was prompt and the car was washed and vacuumed before I picked it up. This was the first time I used Auburn Foreign and I will use them again.

Description of Work: Went in for an oil leak. They pressure washed underneath of car and did not fix the leak. Took car to another place in Renton and the man looked under hood, told me what the problem was (leaking oil filter) and didn't charge me anything.

Description of Work: They were excellent, went above and beyond inspecting any future problems that may result from oil leaks corroding belts and other parts of the engine. Very knowledgable about VW's. Gerry answered all my questions, even when I called back a few times. Very happy with my visit!

Description of Work: It is tough to find an honest place to take your car these days - but look no farther, Auburn Foreign Car has won my vote. I was normally a "take your car to the dealer" kind of person, but a recent experience told me that "they" were not being totally upfront and completely honest with me- so I looked elsewhere. Not only did Auburn Foreign Car find and fix the problem they saved me a huge amount of money in the process. I am coming here from now on for both of our cars for oils changes too. Everyone is friendly and you get first class service! Plus an added bonus- they clean and vacuum your car for you when you bring it in!
